As well as being a registered veterinary nurse, Zoe specialises in laser therapy for animals. See below for more details.
Hi my name is Zoë, I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and owner of Dingo Veterinary and Pet Services. You might have seen me at Vets4Pets Alsager as a locum nurse helping the team out.
For the past 5 years I have specialised in K-Laser therapy, which is a drug free, surgery free and pain free way of treating your pet, to stimulate the bodies natural ability to heal. K-Laser treatment is suitable for any species at any age and works best straight after acute injuries and wounds, but can even make a huge difference in chronic cases. And now I can provide K-Laser treatment in the comfort of your own home!
Common conditions K-Laser can help with:
- Wound healing
- Osteoarthritis
- Lameness
- Post-surgery rehabilitation
- Chronic wounds
- Pain management
-Ligament & Tendon conditions
- Nerve & Spinal cord problems
- Bone & Cartilage repair
The painless application of K-laser promotes increased circulation of the blood flow to the affected area. By doing this it creates an optimal healing environment to reduce swelling, inflammation, muscle spasm, stiffness and pain.
During treatment, the laser light interacts with tissues on a cellular level. It increases metabolic activity within the cell and initiates the increased production of cellular energy. This leads to a cascade of beneficial events promoting the acceleration of the healing process and reduced pain.
There is no sedation or restraint required and the experience is usually a comforting and pleasant. Treatments take between 3 and 8 minutes per site, and though improvement might be seen after the first treatment, patients are required to follow treatments follow a treatment schedule of two to three times weekly for 3 weeks (Condition specific) for greatest benefit.
K-laser therapy can be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment.
If you would like to know more or if you think K-laser would be beneficial to your pet, give me a call on 07897932229 for a free phone consultation.
Treatments can either take place in the comfort of your own home or at Vets4Pets Alsager.
