A lot of you may already have met Zoe as she regularly works as locum nurse within the practice.

As well as being a registered veterinary nurse, Zoe specialises in laser therapy for animals. See below for more details.

Hi my name is Zoë, I am a Registered Veterinary Nurse and owner of Dingo Veterinary and Pet Services. You might have seen me at Vets4Pets Alsager as a locum nurse helping the team out.

For the past 5 years I have specialised in K-Laser therapy, which is a drug free, surgery free and pain free way of treating your pet, to stimulate the bodies natural ability to heal. K-Laser treatment is suitable for any species at any age and works best straight after acute injuries and wounds, but can even make a huge difference in chronic cases. And now I can provide K-Laser treatment in the comfort of your own home!

Common conditions K-Laser can help with:
- Wound healing
- Osteoarthritis
- Lameness
- Post-surgery rehabilitation
- Chronic wounds
- Pain management
-Ligament & Tendon conditions
- Nerve & Spinal cord problems
- Bone & Cartilage repair

The painless application of K-laser promotes increased circulation of the blood flow to the affected area. By doing this it creates an optimal healing environment to reduce swelling, inflammation, muscle spasm, stiffness and pain.

During treatment, the laser light interacts with tissues on a cellular level. It increases metabolic activity within the cell and initiates the increased production of cellular energy. This leads to a cascade of beneficial events promoting the acceleration of the healing process and reduced pain.

There is no sedation or restraint required and the experience is usually a comforting and pleasant. Treatments take between 3 and 8 minutes per site, and though improvement might be seen after the first treatment, patients are required to follow treatments follow a treatment schedule of two to three times weekly for 3 weeks (Condition specific) for greatest benefit.

K-laser therapy can be used in conjunction with other forms of treatment.

If you would like to know more or if you think K-laser would be beneficial to your pet, give me a call on 07897932229 for a free phone consultation.

Treatments can either take place in the comfort of your own home or at Vets4Pets Alsager.

😻⭐️⭐️STAR PET OF THE WEEK😻⭐️⭐️

Beautiful long-haired Tabby Gentle Giant LANDO aged 4 is still available for rehoming, He has been with us for 7 month's so is desperate for his forever home.

He was brought into us as a stray, living in a garden in a cardboard box through the winter. He was a very shy subdued boy when he came into us. He has now been neutered, flea, wormed, microchipped, has had a tooth removed, and dental clean up and is now fully vaccinated and ready to go. He was the best patient ever at the vets. All the staff loved him.

Once he knows you, he is the most affectionate loving cat and is very playful.

Unfortunately, he has tested FIV positive, which means he will need to be kept as an indoor only cat ( a catio or cat proofed garden would be a lovely extra for him).

We are looking for a sensible loving home, someone who will be very careful with windows and doors not being left open.

He is a big cat, therefore he needs a spacious home.

He loves company, so someone who is at home some of the day would be great and is aware of meeting all the needs of an indoor cat. Lando would suit a child free home.

All enquires to Hilary 07939 255444 or Lisa 07970 194929 between 11 a.m & 6 p.m please share Many thanks x

As some of you may be aware , we are currently experiencing short-term availability issues on some popular pet medications due to delays at one of our veterinary medicine suppliers.

This is an industry-wide issue that is impacting many veterinary practices across the country, and we politely request your patience whilst the situation is rectified.

😻⭐️⭐️STAR PET OF THE WEEK⭐️⭐️😻

This weeks star pet is the beautiful TIA.

She has now been in our care for 7 months.

She would really benefit from another amenable friendly, playful older kitten to be able to play with and as companionship as she has shown her stirling qualities, making friends with Willowby and Fluffball, and they all live happiliy together as one family in our cattery. She originally came from a litter of 10 kittens !

She is a little shy initially, but once trust is gained very quickly, she will be your best faithful friend, following you everywhere ! She loves to be fussed and to be near you. She loves to play "catch" with hair bands and loves to give you kisses. She is such a very affectionate cat.

She is now 12 months old now, is spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, flea, and wormed and ready to go.

She would ideally suit an understanding, experienced quiet home with no younger children, but possibly quiet older children.

She is a real sweetheart and a very loyal cat.

Please note that we do not rehome on or near busy roads.

All homes are subject to homecheck and donation fee.

Well done, TIA, our star of the week ⭐️

All enquires to Hilary 07939 255444 or Lisa 07970 194929 please share Many thanks x 🙏

Team building day for the staff. Here’s a peak at the Alsager team enjoying an adventure afternoon at Wild Shore Delamere. A day of constant laughter and proving just how well this team works together in and out of work. What is it they say “together we stand, together we fall!” We did lots of that…mainly from great heights into the water below our feet.

Carl May, registered veterinary nurse and practice owner of Vets4Pets Alsager shares some of his top tips for keeping your pet cool and safe.

22/07/2023

Please read the following very carefully.

Animal charities are all facing similar difficulties. At the rate our expenses are escalating, we will not be able to continue as a rescue for much longer.

If you feel strongly about this rescue continuing into the future, which has served the community for the past 35 years, helping thousands & thousands of cats and dogs & continuing to help all the animals in need, would you consider setting up a monthly standing order to help support us ?

We have 11k worth of supporters who like our page. If even half of those supporters gave just £1 per month, this would ease the strain considerably.

Our expenses costs for June alone this year are a huge £8k, covering vet costs, kenneling fees, food bills, van running costs, event hall hire, storage costs, photocopier charges, etc

Please remember that no one is paid in this rescue. It is solely run by unpaid volunteers.

Anyone who would like to help and set up a standing order to give as much or as little as possible each month can do so using the details below :-

Beautiful POPPY has been back for her booster vaccination today. She is such a good girl at the vets.

She is STILL looking for her forever foster home. It breaks our hearts, after everything she has been through, that no one is coming forward to offer her a home.

Her rehoming story & background can be found here 👇

So, Carl did a thing!

On Friday Carl presented a talk at the British small animal veterinary association’s annual congress on the topic of Neurodiversity in the veterinary world.

This came about following the practice becoming the first ever Veterinary practice to be awarded Autism friendly status back in 2018.

Carl was very nervous before hand but managed to enjoy it and didn’t swear which were taking as a win!!!

We are very proud to announce that after becoming the very first veterinary practice to receive the autism friendly award back in 2018, today we received our new certificate after going through the process again to renew.

The Autism Friendly Award is a leading accreditation programme set up by the National Autistic Society to help businesses play their part to create more welcoming environments and make a difference to the lives of autistic people throughout the UK.

To gain the Autism Friendly Award, businesses have to meet set standards and follow a framework to demonstrate to customers that their business offers an autism-friendly environment and service. Over 300 businesses are now accredited.

It really is very simple to do and we encourage more businesses to become accredited.
