The importance of controlled, safe play for puppies is vital in their development into a social, well balanced dog, around 60% of dogs are dog selective which basically means they like some dogs and not others, by allowing them the opportunity to learn how to make choices and how to deal them whilst puppies may prevent unwanted disputes as they age.

Puppy / Adolescent Dog Training course.

Commences on Saturday 14th September at 9.30

The course runs for 5 consecutive weeks x 1 hour classes and the total cost £60.00.

For Puppies 6 months of age and above, this training course covers obedience, puppy etiquette, lead work, recall and all-important puppy socialisation as your fur babies enter into their second stage of cognitive development and testing teenage stage.

All our training is carried out using only positive reinforcement techniques and we only operate small group classes of puppies to ensure the classes are not too overwhelming for puppies and as proactive and beneficial as possible.

Weather permitting our courses are held outdoors in our secure meadow which replicates true life environment and adds additional enjoyment from scents of pheasants, rabbits, wild birds, other dogs etc however we do have an indoor training barn if the weather isn't good.

SOCIAL PLAY SESSIONS :- To make the most of the remaining light nights before Autumn draws in we are pleased to be able to host x 4 evening play sessions on Thursday 22nd & 29th August and Thursday 5th & 12th September at 7pm.

Cost is £5 per dog & places need to be booked prior to arrival as numbers are limited for these 30 minute play sessions.

Congratulations to our stage two puppies & thier handlers who were awarded their certificates of achievement for the great progress made over the last 5 weeks especially tonight with the off lead impulse control exercise whereupon the puppies walked past and sit next to a dish of fresh turkey and did not take it using the “leave it” - note the onlooker through the window 🤣🤣🤣

Play session - We will be hosting two additional play sessions on Saturday 10th & 17th August at 3.00pm, the sessions will run for 30 minutes and cost £5 per dog, the sessions are open to all social dogs that love to make friends and play with other dogs in a safe environment.

All our training is carried out using only positive reinforcement techniques and we only operate small group classes of upto 8 puppies or less to ensure the classes are not too overwhelming for young puppies and as proactive and beneficial as possible.
Weather permitting we carry out these classes in the outdoor meadow which adds to the enjoyment for the puppies & their training due to natural distractions.

The course runs for 5 weeks x 1 hour classes and the total cost £60.00.

I am absolutely thrilled to share Anita and Moose’s huge achievements today qualifying him for Crufts, Moose took First in breed male puppy, First in breed Special Beginners. Taking them through to Special Beginnings for the Group (Gundogs) and a very kind and lovely judge awarded them First there too !

Craig, my long suffering partner (jokes, he loves me really 🤪) he is the absolute backbone of this business, although he’s working his own full time job, he keeps on top of stock monitoring/ordering making sure the shop is fully stocked and that we don’t sell out of your faves along with the mass amount of admin and cracking the whip on me 🤓 as a lot of you know, that alone deserves a medal 😂😂😂 He’s definitely a keeper 🤫

and lastly….

Esther, our little ginger ninja 6 year old daughter, she has had a massive obsession with dogs pre shop and is absolute besties with our dog Ruby. Where there is one, the other is never far away! Esther is in the shop occasionally on a Saturday but can often be seen helping out during school holidays 🥰
