We are collecting items at Sapphire Quality Care Agency, Clarence Road, ST3 1AZ. The office is open for anyone wanting to donate any items we can send.

List of items: Plasters, Bandages, Dressings, Pain relief (paracetomol/ibroprofen), antiseptic creams, wipes, wet wipes, thick rubbish bags, sleeping bags, gloves, hats, thermal vests, thermal leggings, thick socks, toiletries, clothing, blankets or anything else you may feel would be of use.

We will have the office open to anyone all week ready so we can sort for the weekend to arrange to send over.

Sapphire Quality Care Agency Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Care Coordinator for its Stoke-on-Trent office. Sapphire Quality Care Agency Ltd is a well-established and expanding domiciliary care agency that provides home carers to clients, helping them to continue living safely and independently in their own homes. This opening represents an exciting opportunity for the right individual to join a growing and dynamic company and to help steer our care delivery services in Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire to further growth. We focus on personal development and this post will enable the successful candidate to take advantage of the training and career-track development that we offer, among other benefits, and therefore to maximise his or her potential.

Applicants must have held a Care Coordinator position in a domiciliary care agency for at least one year as this job requires the successful candidate to be able to start the actual work from day one and hit the ground running.

The Care Coordinator's duties will include:

Accepting care packages and assigning care workers to service users in an appropriate manner;
Producing care workers’ rotas and managing the roster software;
Ensuring that service user and care worker files are complete;
Using electronic monitoring software to monitor care workers’ attendance and timeliness for visits;
Arranging care reviews and risk assessments for service users with the field supervisor;
Conducting telephone monitoring and service user visits and ensuring service quality;
Liaising with clients, local authorities and other stakeholders;
Recruiting care workers;
Managing care workers and conducting care worker supervisions;
Representing the company during meetings with officials and service commissioners;
Attending training events and ensuring that skills and knowledge of industry best practice is kept up-to-date;
Ensuring that our service complies with CQC requirements;
Ensuring that the highest standards of care are maintained at all times.
The role of Care Coordinator is a key role in the company that will require the post holder to ensure the smooth running of visits to our clients. In order for the Care Coordinator to perform effectively, the successful applicant will have had previous experience and will also possess the following key attributes, which must be demonstrated at interview:

Previous experience as a care worker.

The Role

The key responsibilities of a Carer include, but are not limited to:

· Personal Care: Assist with personal care including showering, oral hygiene, shaving, dressing / un******ng and all aspects of personal grooming; assist with toileting, mobility and transfers using correctly any specialised equipment; administering prescribed medication, as directed.

· Domestic Care: Undertaking domestic duties such as preparing meals, cleaning, attending to laundry, and ensuring a safe and hygienic environment.

· Social Care: Talking with the client.

· Desirable: a relevant care and/or health qualification; previous experience as a care assistant; ability to recognise abuse and safeguarding procedures; working knowledge of health and safety matters relating to home care.
