AVAILABLE - playful, lovely boy

Meet crow, crow is an approx 10 month old male x breed labrador, crow has come in via the dog warden service and he has not been re-claimed :( he is now available for adoption.

about crow, crow is clean in his kennel and extremely friendly, he can pull slightly on the lead being a big pup!, he does love to stand up to hold onto us and hug us!, he loves the snow and nothing phases him here at all!, he ignores all of the other dogs and just wants to enjoy himself!, we could not fault him here at all.

crow now needs his furever home where he can get all the training, attention and excercise he needs! he is a loveable boy who just needs the right home.

AVAILABLE - lovely lad

Meet harry, harry is an approx 3 year old x staffie, harry has come in via the dog warden service and has not been re-claimed, harry was a little star this week on BBC midlands today to discuss the amount of stray dogs and the condition they are coming into us in.

harry has come into us extremely thin, we have left him without a coat to show how thin he is and he has actually put on weight during the week he has been here!, he had also burnt pads from being left around in urine :(

about harry, harry made friends with everyone! he is good as gold for staff and he even sat perfectly for his little interview!, harry is extremely friendly with staff, clean in his kennel and good on the lead, we could not fault him here at all and especially after what he has been through already.

we think harry needs an older home where he can get all the love and attention that he needs!, harry is building his weight up with food at different times throughout the day very nicely, he loves treats and never says no to a knucklebone or a pigs ear!, we can take food off him nicely and he also takes nicely!, it is now his time to find his furever home.

REHOMED :) - very soft natured- quiet and gentle home needed

meet stella, stella is a 9 year old female blue staffie, stella came in with her sisters and they have now all been re-home and one due to be rehomed, stella's owner gave up their ownership and gave them to the warden.

about stella, stella has recently had puppies :( she has come in also very thin, for having puppies at her age it has definitely knocked her around :(

this lovely little lady is extremely well behaved, sweet and very soft in nature :) she is no trouble at all in the kennels and very clean, she takes everything in her stride and is a pleasure to work with.

stella really needs a home now where she can get all the attention and care that she needs, we think she would need a home where she can plod around at her own pace in also a quiet home.

preferably retired owner/owners

REHOMED :) - lovely lad.

Meet ozzy, ozzy is an approx 5 year old greyhound, ozzy came in as a stray and has not been re-claimed, we only know ozzy's name because it was permanently marked on his collar, at least we know his name at least!.

about ozzy, ozzy is such a good boy in the kennels, he is clean and good on the lead but he can pull slightly, ozzy does know his name!, ozzy does ignore the other dogs and isn't phased by them at all.

in the kennels we could not fault ozzy at all, he is a lovely boy who now just needs his furever home, ozzy has come into us very thin though and has meals throughout the day to build him up :(

ozzy can be tried with similar breeds.

FULLY RESERVED :) - lovely girl

Meet luna, luna is a 6 year old labrador, luna has come into us for re-homing due to her owner ill health :(

we have been told luna is house trained, travels well, good with children, other dogs and cats, and she also can help emptying the washing basket!.

luna has not been in with us long and she has been an absolute perfect girl in the kennels, she sits patiently, she is very polite, she knows her commands and we could not fault her at all, she is very delicate and loving!.

luna will now need her furever home, we would like luna to be re-homed to a family that has had labradors before or a family that currently has labradors already, this special lady does need the right home.

about tyson, in the kennels tyson is a clean boy, he will only p*e in his bedroom part if desperate, tyson doesn't chew anything in his kennel and is a good clean boy, tyson is good with staff and when called he has a cheeky grin and comes waggling to us, when out of the kennels the other dogs shout at him and he doesn't react at all, he does go to try sniff them but then carries on.

we think tyson needs a home where he can get lots of excercise and the attention that he needs, we do think he needs a home where he can lots of space and an owner who can give him lots of attention also.

rehomed :) - lovely boy!

Meet ace, ace is a 1 year old male rottie x, ace came in via the dog warden service and has not been re-claimed, however ace's owner made contact and made us aware he was made homeless and could not care for ace and for us to re-home him.

about ace, ace has actually been with us a while now, he has been in since november and he has had let down after let down :(

in the kennels ace is a good boy!, he is clean in his kennel and good on the lead also, however when the other dogs give him jip he happily ignores them!, once ace is out he enjoys running around and loves to be nosy, today we had him out in the snow and he loved it that much he wanted to stay out and play in it!.

ace has a lovely nature and is a giant big baby who is lots of fun to be around, he is a good boy here!.

meet male and female frankie and fred, frankie and fred are 6 and 7 years old, they have both come in through no fault of their own whatsoever :(

we have been told they are both house trained and good with children but must live with no other pets.

in the kennels they are both extremely clean here!, they are very good on the lead and very affectionate!, they are also very laid back and we could not fault them at all here!, they can be also fed together with no problems.

frankie and fred now need their furever home where they can get lots of attention and fussing!. they are a very loveable duo!.

Meet bella, bella is a 12 year old xbreed, bella has come in through no dault of her own whatsoever :( bella is neutered also.

bella is camera shy!

we have been told bella is house trained, good with children but cannot live with other pets.

in the kennels bella is a really good girl here, she makes no mess in her kennel bedroom and she is good on the lead, bella spends most of her time sleeping or wandering around, we could not fault her at all here.

bella would need an older home where she can pot around and just be a lazy girl!, bella would suit an older owner who is in during the day where she can roam around and nap when she wants to!, bella does like coming out and going on walks and being nosy!.

children 5+ preferably a retired owner/owners

Meet sazza, sazza is a 6/7 year old female cocker spaniel, sazza came in as a rescue placement and she is now available for rehoming, due to her circumstances we hold no history on her at all :(

about sazza, this lovely gentle little lady loves everyone!, sazza loves the staff and always wants a cuddle, she is very loving and attentive, we do believe she is good with other dogs also!.

sazza is good on the lead and clean in her kennel and we could not fault her here at all!, we have now re-homed all her kennel friends except sarah.

the city dogs home has currently re-homed a lot of dogs over the past few weeks! :) however saying this there are more dogs now coming in replacing the dogs we have re-homed :( this means that we do now have a lot of full kennels and more dogs to look after.

at this minute we have a lot of staffies, staffie x's,bulldog x's and mix breed dogs in, we also have larger breeds also, we have also had a male and female pair of 5 year old frenchies that now need a home also, if anyone who is looking to adopt please call us on 01782 304 130 11am until 4pm to arrange a viewing, please note we do ask people to call us only as sometimes we can be late replying to messages.

Meet bessy, bessy is an approx 5 year year old female x mini poodle, bessy came is as a stray and she has not been re-claimed :( bessy is now available for adoption.

in the kennels bessy has been a good girl, she is fantastic with staff but bessy does suffer from anxiety, bessy loves attention and doesn't like to be left alone, she is quite the lap dog and does have a little howl when staff leave her so bessy would need a home where her owners are always around her.

we think bessy would possibly suit an older home where the owner/owners are retired.
