The latest group of puppies to finish their puppy training course. They all did very well and had a good start to their training. Get in touch if you would like to do a puppy training course with your young puppy.

It's always good and enjoyable to train in a new place! We got our dogs to wait and then called them individually. Most of the time on the beach was spent exploring and paddling in the sea though.

We are back from holiday in the Isle of Mull. Mia was very well behaved throughout including four trips on a ferry, which was a first for her. She loved the beaches. Classes start again tomorrow, I'm looking forward to seeing you all.

Two puppies who are off to a great start with their training, achieving the KCGCDS puppy foundation certificate. Well done to their owners who have trained them to the required stands.

September the 10th. Puppy class at 6 pm. We will start them with walking nicely on lead, recall, food manners, leave, play, and all-important socialization.
7 pm scent work. Teach your dog to find and indicate on a specific scent.

It's International Dog day. Celebrating our wonderful dog companions. I am lucky to see many dogs every week. My own dog is very special to me. Mia is 12 and a half now and is my walking companion. We have down lots of things today. Post a photo of your dog in the comments. One will be picked at Random and I'll give you a free place in a class at The Peak Dog Retreat. Dogs must be good with other dogs and people to attend a class.

The classes at Oak Moor Farm or the Peak Dog Retreat as some of you may know it by, have been very successful. I’m running classes there every couple of weeks and hopefully more regularly next year.
There have been obedient classes covering the more common training that people want and need. So far we have done, walking on a loose lead, not jumping up and recall.
We have had some Hoopers classes which have been, the regular people are beginning to see their dogs confidently doing that now and getting an understanding of it.
The facilities there are fabulous, we were able to use the paddock for our recall class making it more realistic and putting some learning in.
There is a good sized barn, so there is plenty of space for everyone to work together as well as having individual training.
It’s all secure, with high fencing in the paddock, and high doors in the barn.
Look out for the next dates and book the class you want to come to.
