🐶🐾Staff pet story time - Lily (Lily bug)🐾🐶

Lily was brought into our Hospital after being found roaming as a stray! Upon her arrival she was in need of lots of cuddles and food. She was sadly very underweight and has collected some war wounds along the way. After spending some time in our hospital her confidence and trust comes on leaps and bounds, so did the teams love for her. After a few little bit of TLC and love, Lily was registered with a local charity to find her a furever home. One of our team members in particular made a very special bond with Lily and decided to adopt her💚

She settled into her new home very quickly, with the sofa being her first point of discovery. Lily now enjoys spending time in the garden and having lots of long adventures to the woods and on the beach🏖🌲

As you can see from the photos Lily has come on leaps and bounds in her forever home!🥰

The very sweet Jacob is a 15 year old Cross breed Cat who is currently being fostered by Cheadle Animal Welfare. Sadly this chap has been suffering with fairly severe Arthritus. However having this condition has not stopped him being a little purring machine and a top biscuit maker😎

Jacob has been having K-Laser sessions with the nursing team here at Lime Trees to aid in his pain management and reduce inflammation with his arthritus. This Laser Therapy uses selected wavelenghts of light to stimulate key molecules in tissues. This has been clinically proven very benefitical in many different conditions including osteroathritus in Jacobs case🤗

As you can see Jacob has is relaxed and comfortable throughout his session and stress is kept to a minimum, taking any breaks if needed. Since his sessions his mobilty has improved, Jacob is much more active and interactive with everyone in the clinic!🐾💚

Common diseases in Older Cats - Client Education Evening🥳
Wednesday 21st May - 7:00pm - Lime Trees Cat Clinic

Are you ready for our next Client Education Evening? Our next topic is about common diseases in older cats. As our cats become older, they become more susceptible to developing conditions such as chronic kidney disease, hyperthyroidism and high blood pressure. Often the signs of these conditions can go unnoticed and the diseases can become more advanced.

At our education evening you can learn if your cat is at risk, and how to recognise early and subtle signs of this condition and what we can do to manage them in feline!💚

Reserve your space by following this link (You don't have to be a client of ours to attend!) - https://www.limetreesvets.co.uk/cat-friendly-clinic/client-education-meetings

Did you know even a small amount of raisins (or grapes) can be dangerous for dogs?🐶

They can cause kidney failure, so it's important to act fast if your dog eats any‼️️

If your dog has eaten any raisins or grapes please call your vet immediately. Don't wait for symptoms. If you know how much your dog has eaten make your Veterinarian aware!

Signs of raisin and grape poisoning can include vomiting, lethargy and loss of appetite. Even if your dog seems fine, seek veterinary advice.
