Did you know that Matt is great with all things furry and scaly! ❤️

Tortoises are the most common exotic pet that Matt sees, but he’s happy to see and treat all exotics! 🐢 🐍 🦎

He will also see small furries including ferrets ❤️

Not only have we managed to achieve RCVS accreditation…

Our team members are now the first and only team in Staffordshire and one of the first in the UK to become Fear Free certified ❤️🐾

Members of our Vet, Nursing and VCA team have all achieved this amazing achievement 🌟

What does this mean for your pets?

Meet Molly ❤️ 🐾

This lovely lady recently came to see our vet Hannah for struggling to eat, Hannah quickly noticed that Molly had a very large mass inside her mouth 😢🐶

After lots of discussions, Mollys owners decided to try to help Molly by asking Hannah to operate to remove the mass 👩🏼‍⚕️

After removing lots of the inside of Mollys cheek Hannah managed to successfully remove the mass and Mollys mum has been really happy with her recovery and she’s even happy to eat all of her food again! ❤️🐾

Well done Molly 🌟🌟🌟

Meet Hector ❤️🐾

He’s recently spent the day with us for airway surgery (along with some other bits) with vet Hannah 👃🏽

Hectors mum and dad have been very happy with his progress as he’s now much bouncier! 🐶 🥰

Airway surgery can involve a combination of any of the following:
- Nostril widening
- Soft Palate resection
- Laryngeal Saccule Removal

And surgery may help improve your pets breathing and subsequently their quality of life 💖

Our vet Hannah has also been one of the few Vets in the UK trained to assess and formally grade your flat faced friends breathing by the kennel club ❤️

2025 is a year of so much excitement for our team ❤️

Much of which will be revealed over the next few months….!

And it’s been made even more exciting to announce that we’ve become RCVS accredited to General Practice level, one stage below hospital status! 💖💖

But what does this mean…? The accreditation process is a rigorous process to prove that we as a practice work to the highest possible standards of patient care and wellbeing 🥰
This is a voluntary process with the Royal College and we are proud to announce that our fabulous team have been working hard to prove our worthiness of being the only single site, independent practice within the local area to achieve General Practice Level of accreditation ❤️❤️🐶🐱🐢🐰🐾

Meet Bailey ❤️🐾

This lovely guy has been a regular fixture here over the past few months 🥰

Bailey came to us following a thyroid tumour diagnosis at his previous vets, which needed urgent removal. Vets Hannah and Matt performed this complex advanced surgery and successfully removed his whole gland which had grown to the size of a satsuma from inside his neck! ❤️

We regularly see Bailey back for checkups to monitor for any ongoing issues so we can keep him happy and healthy! 🥰🐾

Update: Thank you for such a huge response of offers - we’ve got a number of cats coming down for typing tomorrow morning to see if they’re match for our poorly patient ❤️❤️

We’re urgently looking for a donor cat for an urgent blood transfusion tomorrow morning, your cat must be:

Fit and healthy
Between 1 and 10 years old
Weigh more than 4kg
Up to date with vaccinations
Up to date with flea and worm treatments
Not on any medication
Have never travelled abroad
Have never had a blood transfusion
They can be indoor or outdoor cats

Please let us know if your cat fits this description to help one of our lovely patients have a better chance of survival ❤️ 🐱
