Meet Bonnie 😍

Little Bonnie joined us for the night after eating the mouldy contents of the bin including some onions😢 🫣

Mouldy food can cause lots of serious problems including seizures and can be fatal ❤️‍🩹

Bonnie was treated with a special infusion which we always keep in stock for our emergency and critical care cases. This infusion helps bind the toxins which have been absorbed to reduce the effects of the mould.

Onions can also cause a severe anaemia and require blood transfusions 🩸

Luckily for Bonnie she’s doing really well and has been discharged home back to her mum and dad after enjoying lots of cuddles during her time with us 🥰

It’s been a busy on call throughout the bank holiday weekend! 🐣 🌺

Here’s one of our inpatients Snoop 🥰

After eating some human medications Snoop had an emergency visit to us, and after helping to empty his stomach vet Hannah and nurse Anna spent the night closely monitoring his blood pressure and helping fix his dangerously low blood sugar levels ❤️

Here he is at 4am enjoying keeping us company! 🥰

Luckily for Snoop we managed to stabilise his sugar levels and he managed to go back home to his mum and dad this afternoon 🐾❤️

Good Emergency and Critical Care is really important to help save poorly pets when they’re at their worst; which is why vets Hannah and Matt are completing their advanced training in emergency and critical care 🚨🏥

Vets Matt, Hannah and Iona had a busy week with lots of caesareans! ❤️

Some of our largest were these Mastiff puppies whose mum weighed over 70kg! 🐶
Also pictured is another one of our bulldog caesareans which were enjoying a snuggle in the incubator whilst their mum was waking up 🐾🥰

This lovely lady is called Marjorie and she is a yellow footed tortoise! 🐢

She’s recently been feeling under the weather so after a consultation with Matt had been visiting our team for some treatment!

At 20 years old, and 8.4kg she might be just about the heaviest tortoise that is registered with us! ❤️

Ziggy recently came to visit our vet Hannah as an emergency 🚨

After calling around lots of different vets and struggling to find anyone who would help, Ziggys mum called us and we were happy to see her! 🦎 ❤️

She had a very large prolapse which required an anaesthetic and surgery. Vet Hannah and Nurse Anna performed this emergency surgery and she went home the same day, here she is a couple of days later feeling much more comfortable and having a post operative check ❤️‍🩹

We mainly see dogs, cats, tortoises and small furries, but our experienced team are also happy to see birds and reptiles! 🐶 🐱 🐢 🐰 🐦 🦎

We might also be able to see some larger animals soon…! 🤭🤫

Everyone loves puppies! ❤️❤️

These little cuties were safely delivered by Vet Hannah and nurse Anna on Wednesday ❤️🐾

Everyone always asks how we manage to get such a great success rate of our caesareans… we use a technique that vets Hannah and Matt have personally developed with their years of experience within this area to ensure that we time our caesareans to get the best possible outcome for mum, pups and you as an owner ❤️❤️

This lovely guy Lando spent the night with us earlier this week ❤️

After eating a packet of chewing gum, his owners phoned Hannah who was on call for our out of hours service 📞

Chewing gum can contain xylitol, which can cause a number of serious issues including severely low blood glucose and liver failure 😨

Luckily Landos owners contacted vet Hannah right away and came down to the practice to help decontaminate his stomach and spend the night being closely monitored to ensure that his bloods stayed stable 🏥🐾

Here’s Lando today after his final check over! He was even treated to a Cocopupuk dinosaur drying coat 🐾 😍

As much as we loved having you stay, hopefully we won’t be seeing you again too soon Lando 🤣

Bellatrix came to visit our vet Hannah this morning after feeling poorly with a respiratory issue 🐍

Hopefully after some medication and advice from Hannah she’ll be feeling better soon ❤️‍🩹

Bellatrix is a Royal Python and will be around 5ft in length when she’s fully grown! 🌟

Being a practice which is owned and run by our Vets Matt and Hannah, we care lots more about keeping your pets safe, than making a profit, which is why we’ve decided to offer £15 dog vaccines for the next 6 weeks, starting on the 1st of April 🐣 🥰

Why are we doing this?

Our team have seen a few cases of leptospirosis and parvovirus recently 🐾

Luckily with 24 hour care from our team in-house all of these poorly pups have made it home back to their owners ❤️❤️

Both of these infectious diseases can be prevented by keeping up to date with your dogs vaccines 💖

We recently did a very special caesarean ❤🐾

Kya has been visiting our practice for fertility and pregnancy support from our Vet's Hannah and Matt ❤

And most recently visited for us to help deliver her super cute puppies 🥰

Kya is a distant relative of Hannah and Matts pug Barkley, who was sadly put to sleep last year, so helping deliver these puppies was a very special moment for our team ❤❤

We can't wait to see them all grow!

One of our recent spikey visitors ❤️🦔

Our team love seeing the these cheeky little hedge pigs and really enjoy working with local rescues to help these little little guys who are vulnerable to becoming extinct ❤️❤️
