This month is world mens mental health month, i'd like to use this platform to just raise abit of awareness for this subject.
This photo I have used is an important one. When we set up our place I wanted to have a area people of any background could come in and chill, chat s**t with us and just relax.
Life is very hard at times, carrying so much weight on your shoulders can be exhausting. It's hard treading water 24/7. I can count on 2 hands the amount of people I have lost whom have took there own life. The easy way out is never the right option but it is the easiest option. Getting up and keep going is tiring, I no that feeling, I speak from experience about how hard it is to find that motivation, it never stops raining around you even on the hottest days of the year.
We aren't like most businesses, we will always go the extra distance for others, but we also will tell you your a prick if your acting like one too. We genuinely care about our customers and don't have any of this BS , what you see is what you get.
What you see on social media/youtube of influencers is not real. Life is not always fantastic, celebrities are not really living it up. Your watching fakery , your life is tough, it's not just yours, many other people are having it tough too, but many like to hide it. It's ok not to have the switch 2, its ok not to be stuck up your arse, it's ok get home, go bed and just have the strength to start the next day again. You don't need to be “living the dream”, because just living is also ok. Things can never get better if your not able to see how the story unfolds. Life is tough and hard, but there are people out there willing to grab you if you fall, and if you don't have those people in your life then seek them out. Your always someones reason to smile, even on the darkest of days.
Keep your real friends close, forget those ones who use you, you don't need loads, just one who will have your back.
Men's su***de rate is huge, yes we often bottle things up, but lads if s**t gets too much, reach out and speak to someone, anyone!!!
we still have the sofa in our centre magazines are abit ripped and most of the mugs may have broke as a result of smashing them over the head of a shoplifter, but the sofa it still welcomes anyone to sit down on who is carrying a heavy weight and just needs a rest. So if s**t gets too serious, pop in, we aren't therapists, but we make a really s**t brew and can chat s**t for hour's....sometimes all you need is s person to no you mean something and while we are always busy rescuing animals, we are never too busy to keep a person in this world !!!
