A busy few days here at the stud!
Thursday saw the final foal of 2024 born, a very fiery chestnut filly by Briarwood Revolution for her owners, unfortunately she came out a tad weak and the mare was a little uninterested at being a mother. Thankfully after 3 days of assisted feeding and coaxing, Sunday morning saw great news in the mare finally accepting the foal unaided!
Sunday we headed out to dressage with Briarwood Remembrance - her first competition for 2 years! She contested the Novice gold class coming 2nd with 70+%. She was very happy to be back out with an audience 🤣 (pics 4 and 5)
Then back home, yard switched around and on Monday afternoon we packed the lorry and headed down to the National Training centre with Firestick for Camp 4 of the Haddon Training AESE programme. He was such a gem to deal with throughout his 3 day stay! Lots learnt and lots of fun had with friends! (Video 1) Unfortunately, we have no ridden videos as I headed down there on my own so had noone to video. But we did get a few clips showing just how much of a kind, quiet boy he is!
Once we arrived home last night folllowing a nearly 5 hour trip, we were lucky enough to be met Bowen Therapy by Jane Strickland where Timmy enjoyed a treatment, then headed to bed for a well deserved rest (Video 2 and 3)
Now, a day on the yard and tidy the lorry ready for another adventure out tomorrow morning!
