‼️Hot weather announcement‼️
Summer is finally coming! However, being out in the extreme heat with the doggies can be dangerous if no plan from us to you is in place.
This is how we’re going to tackle the warmer days this summer:
☀️Firstly, we will NOT be walking any dogs when the temperature is above 23/24 degrees.
☀️The temperature normally peaks this high during late afternoon/evening.
However, as we all know it gets hot very quickly! (We’re pretty good at the moment as the ground hasn’t warmed up yet for their paws)
We will be monitoring the weather closely throughout the day.
☀️If the weather looks like it is going to peak 23° when the walk is scheduled we will move the pick up time forward that day (1hr ish) to be finished around lunchtime.
Please let me know if this doesn’t work for anybody and we can rearrange something - for example a pop in.
☀️If the walk has started and we see that it is too hot to continue, or the dogs are struggling, we will take it super slow, dogs that are allowed off lead will stay on lead so they don’t exert themselves, or we will reduce the walk (We have never needed to do this)
☀️Luckily where we mainly walk is shaded and has water spots so these will be the best place
for the summer. We will try our best to park as close to these areas as possible.
☀️Depending on which route we take picking up and dropping off, some of the dogs are in the car for quite a while.
Windows will be open with the air on blasting. I also have cool mats for them to sit on.
☀️Fingers crossed this won’t be many days throughout the summer. Our best interest is to walk around the temperature peak times even if it is a little out of schedule.
☀️I will send this message out to everyone as a heads up for this week.
☀️Thank you for your understanding, our job is to keep the doggies as safe as possible :)
