This little girl can be saved by an operation, but donations are needed for this little local group who are doing everything they can to help her. She deserves to live on with her daughter. Please donate, every £ helps, please share too. Thank you. xx💕
♥️ Safi Update ♥️
After an agonising weeks wait, we finally had Safi’s test results today.
The positive news is that Safi’s lump doesn’t appear to be malignant, however it is an aggressive benign mass which is caused by the over production of keratin, very rare by all accounts and something the vet currently dealing with her case, has only seen in canines. 🐶
Positives are that her blood🩸and urine sample came back perfectly clear and in all other respects she is a really healthy cat. 😸
Sadly however Safi is not getting better and is still falling over daily. At this present time her quality of life is significantly affected. 😿
Today we were hit with cold hard facts and given two choices:
1. To put her to sleep knowing that in doing so we will be putting her out of the misery of her current state. (Vets words not ours). 💔💔💔
2. Opt for surgery to remove the mass and hope that it doesn’t reoccur. 🙏🙏🙏
Ethically we have been advised that in either instance we would not be doing the wrong thing.
We don’t believe Safi is ready for the first option, only a few weeks ago she was playing and enjoying her time in foster. Even now she will still greet her foster Mom every time she walks into the room, even if it does take a little longer to get to her feet. 🐾🐾🐾
With all that said we’ve decided we are going to throw everything we can at this situation, in the hopes we can make her better. ♥️
Pictured below you can see just how far she has come. On the left her erupting infected polyp and on the right a picture from 14th September where no head tilt was present and she had been playing every evening in her cabin with Daughter Bea.
Safi deserves this chance and collectively both her and Bea deserve the chance of their happy ever after, together. ♥️
After our previous post we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who donated, we raised over £600 which is marvellous and we can’t thank you all enough. We have been advised today on top of the CT scan which was circa £1,800 and her tests last week circa £2,000-£2,500 we are now facing a bill of approximately £4,000 for her surgery. Whilst we can’t put a price on health we are reaching out again, in the hopes we can please raise some funds to help cover her surgery which is booked for next Tuesday.
We have nearly 4,000 followers to our page, if everyone could spare £1 we would have her surgery covered. Please donate if you can and please share far and wide to raise as much awareness of Safi’s plight as possible. We would be so so grateful! 🙏♥️ THANK YOU!
