STUNNING PALOMINO DRESSAGE GELDING looking for his new forever 🏠
17.1hh 5 year old gelding, tall and elegant. Home-bred by Malegro - Magician GF x Negro out of Swingtime Lady - Showmaker x Lauries Crusader.
Joey is an absolute dream with the most outstanding temperament. He was backed at 41/2 last July and has been brought on quietly and slowly. He has only been ridden in a snaffle with a cavesson noseband and his training has never been forced. We turned him away at Christmas to allow him time to mature, as he is so tall, and brought him back in to work in May this year.
He has three good paces with a very expressive uphill canter, elastic trot and fantastic walk. When he gains more strength to carry his big frame he will be even more impressive.
He is forward going and has the most trainable attitude and is very quick to learn. He works into a light easy contact. His amazing temperament and willingness to work and learn really are outstanding. He hacks out alone and in company. He has been out to several pole work clinics. He loaded easily, travelled well and behaved impeccably. His first time away from home and first in an indoor school and riding with 5 other horses, he didn’t put a foot wrong, he really enjoyed it!
I work all my horses with the TRT method so he is good with flags, noises etc, see videos. He is well mannered, very friendly and super easy to handle.
Joey will make someone a fabulous horse, someone who can now take his training to the next level so he can gain strength for his big frame and paces and go on to a great career.

Sadly our good groom is leaving to go back to full time work so I am looking for someone to work, ideally one morning and 2 afternoons a week, or possibility 3 afternoons, Monday to Friday. Now I’ve sold some of my horses and reducing full liveries I am looking to rent out part of my yard with shared facilities.
Five 12 x 12 stables with automatic drinkers with 2 individual paddocks (one winter, one summer) for each stable. Area in barn to store hay/ straw. Separate tack/feedroom. Well maintained 60m x 23m floodlit Charles Britten arena with sand/ fibre and rubber surface which always gives good going, never deep. Mirrors in corners and middle of short side. More grazing is also available if wanted. Light land so good turnout all year round with minimal mud, paddocks are maintained. Toilet and kitchen area with fridge and microwave.
Option to use my staff if required.
Fantastic opportunity for a young professional starting out who doesn’t need a whole yard. Very peaceful setting, horses are always happy and settled here. Owner lives on site, secure. Very good access, 1 mile to A14.
Would also consider two friends who want to share the 5 stables and facilities.

Correct dressage training will help improve horses in all disciplines. Henry is now becoming more engaged and lighter through his shoulders. Kate even had one lesson in her side saddle which was a new experience for me 😊 x
