Paws Buddy Rescue Gsy

Paws Buddy Rescue Gsy Working with professional rescue and re-homing centres we introduce you to them to help find good homes for animals in need

We are helping shelters to find good homes for animals that have been given up, abandoned or needing a new life with lots of kindness and love. We introduce you to the re homing centres who will be your point of contact. They will then commence an adoption process, including completion of an adoption form and home inspection. We are always willing to talk to anyone who is interested in re-homing a

n animal and the responsibilities it entails as well as any guidance you may need. We can put you in touch with the rehoming centre who will take you through the process. Please note that this is purely a free introduction and advice service. You engage directly with the rehoming centre in all aspects of the animal adoption process. Your first point of contact for any issues after adoption is with the re homing centre as we have no responsibility or accountability in relation to the adoption process you have engaged in with them. We are available for support though should you need it.

Sit nicely and wait before I give you your dinner.

Eat only what I give you, when I choose to give it to you.

Walk close to me and hurry up so I’m not late for work.

Wait quietly while I finish my meetings.

Sleep when I sleep and don’t make a sound.

It’s easy to slip into a routine of control and forget about your dog’s inherent needs. Dogs are sentient, sensitive beings with a whole range of motivations and desires beyond our own. Try to make space for them.

Our lives can get busy and hectic, but if you have a dog in your life, take time each day to honour their doggy-ness. 🐾

⭐A-Z of pet poisoning - T⭐

Each year, we recieve lots of calls about animals who have played with, licked or carried a frog or toad in their mouth. Frogs in the UK are not a cause for concern, but toads can be a problem. There are two types of toad in the UK; Bufo toads release venom from glands on their skin, and Bombina toads have irritating substances on their skin. Both may cause clinical signs such as:
- Drooling
- Foaming/frothing at the mouth
- Vomiting
- Pawing at the mouth

Most of the time this will resolve within a few hours without further issues, but rarely the Bufo toad can cause more serious clinical signs.

I have another ready made tag collar to show you, this time with a closed inner circumference of 16 inches. The vibrant colours move around the braid in an unusual and random way. The cost including 1st class postage is £13 if anyone would like it x

A reminder to all dog owners/walkers to please keep dogs on a leash around livestock.

We've had a number of reports of livestock being chased/attacked by dogs, which is simply not acceptable.

A dog which is let off its leash in any circumstances must have good recall. If a dogs recall is not reliable, then it should not be let off the leash until appropriate training has been successful. If you are unsure whether there will be any livestock on your walk, you should keep your dog on a leash to avoid any incidents.

Permitting a dog to wander, chase or attack livestock is an offence. The impact of livestock worrying/attacks on both the livestock and farmer can be significant and can easily be avoided.

Thank you
