Below is an example of how we like to give daily updates to our liveries on how they’re horses are doing:
The Sunday morning vibe is that it’s a lazy one - They’ve all been out partying from the night before, giving it large to a bit of George Bowie and GBX.
The girls - Rhanna and Lexi were sensible enough to call it a night about 10pm and look as fresh as a daisy munching away on the grass.
Lara got chucked out the pub about 8am for being an absolute outrage so she was away telling the girls the gossip.
Chic liked what he heard so decided he wanting in on the action, as did Scooby. They both got allowed back into the pub (shed) Chic happily sitting at a table with a munch watching all the drama and Scooby realising that he’s a lot older than he thought and was found asleep at the edge of the dance floor.
Sprite on the other hand was last man standing and was still rocking it out to a bit of TTF - he was definitely feeling the energy !!!!
Rannoch had been chaperone to Clyde the whole night, allowing him to experience his first dance party. Clyde was flat out in the field this morning from the excitement of it all and Rannoch is flat out coz he’s “too old for this s##t”
Ginger, Rainbow and Rosie spent the best part of an hour arguing with the bouncers coz they got knocked back. They were told they were too wee and too young to get into something like this. Raging Rosie threw her passport to the bouncer declaring that she was 14 years old !!!! When they were all laughed at again they walked away….. plotting how they can get into the place next weekend !!!
Hope you all have a lovely day xx
I’m just a boy trying to take my best pal for a walk !!!
What a glorious day for a hack. 🐴☀️☀️
We really do have some wonderful scenery and quiet hacking routes right on our door step
Our wee resident swifts are back. Mum and dad having a well earned break after getting everything ready for when the chics hatch 🐣🐥
We’ve had mixed feelings about the Forrest next to us getting cut down.
It’s been up for about 47 years and apparently that means it’s got to come down now.
We are looking forward to the landscape really being opened up which will offer even more fantastic views. The field that it covered should hopefully dry up a lot better and fingers crossed there’s not as many midges in that area.
The down side is that it had acted as an excellent wind break during the stormy weather and the horses won’t have the shelter that it offered.
It’ll be interesting if we feel / see a change during the coming seasons.
We’ve had a lovely Weekend being out a great hack with the girls from the yard 😊🐴🥰
You comfy there Rannoch? 🤣🤣
A lazy start to Saturday for one of our residents !!!
EQUINE GINGER RAGE is a thing !!!
Out on a lovely hack for an hour and a half yesterday. Rannoch was foot perfect until the last 5 minutes away from home. Then it happened …
The Ginger Rage kicked in…. It started with trotting along when we were supposed to be walking.
Then doing some beautiful lateral work along the road ( I didn’t ask him to do it) but I’d be looking for at least a 9 in any dressage test 🤣🤣
About 300 yards away from the yard he started to turn himself inside out - throwing himself from one side of the road to the next, trying to snatch the reins out my hands and unbalance me. Reversing himself into small ditches at the side of the road.
I stopped laughing at his antics by this point 🤨
About 50 yards from the yard. We were literally 20 strides away from the gate. He threw himself up an embankment, leaped down off it with me falling onto his neck and smashing the left side of my face off his neck. Then walked back to the yard as if nothing had happened !!! WTF Rannoch !!!!
He literally stopped short of throwing himself sideways on the ground and thrashing his legs up in the air like a petulant child.
What a Knob !!! And all because a wee 14h pony and it’s rider decided to trot on a bit in front - I have no other explanation or understanding as to why he done this.
He’s also 20 years old for god sake. I had to put up with all that nonsense when he was a lot younger 🤷♀️🙈
Anyways other than being sweaty he was fine. I had to ice pack my swollen left eye, had a bite to eat and then popped on a lovely 17.2h Grey mare who’s coming back into work. She was a total star compared to knobby !!
How’s your day going ??
The winter hair is literally coming off them in handfuls ☀️
Rhanna always lets you know when you’ve got the itchy spot. She’s too cute when she starts her wee head tilt and that top lip starts to move 🥰🐴
We’re enjoying exploring different places whilst out hacking before the weather changes.
To all those fantastic mothers out there -
Happy Mother’s Day 🎊☺️
I’ve had a chilled morning out with the horses. How’s your day been so far?
