We have 1 possibly 2 very rare livery spaces for livery/retirement livery available. Our golden oldies thrive here on our routine. We work on an assisted livery programme, where we put feeds & nets in, medication given if required, rug changes if required & horses are turned out with compatible herd mates. We are a small, settled quiet yard with small herds. In winter we have a winter hard standing turnout arena which we rotate with alternate days in the field 2/3 can get out together in the turnout in small compatable groups together. We have a great size arena, excellent hacking on our doorstep & we're within hacking distance from West Kype Equestrian who hold various clinics & competitions for the competitive owner & we have a forest for off road hacking accessed from our back yard gate, we're a small private yard & all of our horses & owners enjoy our yard routine with all their needs met. We are very, very thankful for the lovely donation of rugs from our lovely supporters Sandra, Kelly & the girls at West Nerston Livery Yard this week. These donations really do make a huge difference to our rescue horses. All of the rugs will fit our rescue horses. Most of our horses arrive just as they are & we have 1 culprit who can easily go through 5/6 rugs each winter, the others do like to groom her, & they are often very passionate about their grooming. Thank you so so much girls it's these acts of kindness & donations that help cut some of our annual costs down & it was just lovely to catch up again 🐎

Our beautiful big girl Destiny has had some lameness issues recently, so after some x rays & a lameness work up, she had her hocks medicated in the last 6 weeks by our vets & there is no significant improvements. This week she has had some nerve blocks to block out her lower leg & joints & again she showed no significant improvement in those areas. So with our vets this week she had another full lameness work up, we ruled out certain areas & Destiny has now had her stifles medicated, as that seems to be the area that is causing her issues, so we are praying that we see some improvement soon. Destiny is a heavy horse breed, she's a French Comtois Draft & is 16 years old, Draft horses do have a shorter lifespan as being heavy horses. We are hoping this treatment makes a difference to our beautiful Destiny as she is just the most sweetest mare, if anyone would like to help with Destinys veterinary fees there is a link to our PayPal at the top of the page & all your donations are greatly greatly appreciated & every penny helps, no matter how small 🐎
