How exciting to see that two grandsons of Sophie, my German Riding Pony brood mare, gained the incredible accolade of Federal German Champion Stallions last weekend!

Neverland WE is out of Sophie's daughter by Champus K and Osterglanz K is by Sophie's son Omega AT.

Congratulations to their breeders, riders and owners.

As usual, I have to pinch myself that Henza Stud has such a wonderful broodmare as Sophie. What a legacy she already has in Germany

What a lovely write-up by British Breeding Futurity about Henza Stud ponies.

Another lovely moment from our BB Baileys Horse Feeds Futurity at Catherston Stud is Diane Kilshaw receiving an Elite for the very aptly named Henza Simply Irresistible. Diane has made a real name for herself in producing Futurity Elite quality sports ponies! This one is by the British based dressage stallion Royal Rubin who is standing with Penny Podmore at Brownscombe Stud. The mother is a lovely pony mare by Dressman I.

Congratulations to SPSS member Diane Kilshaw on breeding the first Futurity Elite Sports Pony foal of 2022, Henza Simply Irresistible. This is the 3rd consecutive foal out of Sophie to receive a Futurity Elite 👏👏👏

Sophie has come up trumps again. This time with her 2022 filly foal, Henza Simply Irresistible by Royal Rubin. Sophie's third filly I've presented to British Breeding Futurity and the third filly to follow the standard set by her sisters (Henza Selene x Dallmayr K & Henza She's on Fire x FS Numero Uno) and to gain "Elite" in her Futurity assessment and Gold Premium with Sports Pony Studbook Society.

What an incredible dam Sophie is to produce such consistent high quality offspring from three different stallions, two being dressage ponies and Royal Rubin a Grand Prix dressage German warmblood horse.

People talk about the influence of the dam line. Is this proof?

A lovely write up by Sports Pony Studbook Society in British Breeder magazine about Sophie winning Mare Grading Supreme Champion award and Elite status.

Already an Elite and State Premium mare with the Weser-Ems German Riding Pony studbook it's fantastic that she's now also recognised in Britain for the legacy that she's giving sports pony breeding. I'm very honoured to have been given the opportunity to have Sophie here in Henza Stud.

Another grandson celebration for Sophie. Weser Ems stallion "Next Generation" by FS Numero Uno out of Sophie's daughter St Pr St Samba de Ricardo wins his 30 day stallion test in Germany!

This pony also won the German Foal Championships as a foal!

Reinhard Kramer, Lathen), der als Fohlen das Deutsche Fohlenchampionat in Lienen gewonnen hatte, gewann in Neustadt/Dosse seinen 30-Tage-Test, der am 30.09.2021 beendet wurde, mit der Gesamtnote 8,38.🥇🌟

Es waren 20 Hengste zur Prüfung angetreten.

The beautiful Henza Stud broodmare, Sophie, was graded with the SPSS. At 22 years old and having produced 18 foals, many of whom are licenced stallions along with a German bundeschampionat daughter, huge praise and adoration was showered upon her by the assessor. She's a very special mare indeed 💞

SPSS will give the mare grading results out later in the year..

Henza Rosa Bella x Dark Knight out of Ormond Rosa was also presented at the British Breeding Futurity gaining 8.7 GOLD. She wowed the judges and entertained the crowd! Know as Sassy Pants at home, what else did we expect? 😂🥰

Two 2021 Henza foals were presented to British Breeding Futurity recently.

First up is the stunning "Henza She's on Fire" (FS Numero Uno out of Elite/St Pr St Sophie (Dressman x Black Boy)). Saphire, as she's know at home, was awarded 9.2 : Elite

10 out of 10 for both trot and canter! I was blown away

Henza She's on Fire x FS Numero Uno x Sophie (Dressman 1) donates her Futurity Elite sash and rosette & her SPSS Gold Premium rosette to the days haul.

Henza Rosa Bella (Dark Knight x Welsh C, Ormond Rosa (Parvadean Recharge) adds her Futurity Gold and her SPSS Gold Premium rosettes.

Sophie & Ormond Rosa kindly throw in their well earned SPSS mare grading rosettes for the photo too.

All in all a great day out thanks to British Breeding Futurity and for the assessments and Rosemary & Liz for all the help making it happen on the day for Henza Stud x

Sophie's daughter, Sophie's Chanel, winning the German Bundeschampion today ridden by Danica Duen. 3yr old Sophie's Chanel was bred by Sophie's previous owner and breeder Kramer Dressage

I'm beside myself with excitement! Sophie's daughter, Sophie's Chanel by FS Numero Uno, has just become Bundeschampion! German National Champion of 3yr old pony mares & geldings!

Congratulations to owner & breeder Reinhard Kramer of Kramer Dressage. Along with breeding Sophie's Chanel, Herr Kramer bred Sophie and her dam Sira and a whole dynasty of successful ponies from this dam line which emanates from our British New Forest Ponies. Each pony from this line seems to have such classic beauty and balance which Sophie's Chanel demonstrated in bucket loads today.

Congratulations to Danica Duen who's riding and production gained a score of 10 out of 10 for rideability! You can't do your job much better than that, can you?!

I'm excited because I have the beautiful dam, Sophie, along with the full sister, Henza She's on Fire. I can't believe how lucky I am to have such beautiful ponies with such illustrious relatives in my stable! All credit goes to Reinhard Kramer. Thank you

Sophie's Chanel by FS Numero Uno is the daughter of Henza Stud's Elite/St Pr St Sophie. She was bred by Reinhard Kramer the year before I was fortunate enough to buy Sophie from Reinhard while she was in foal with Henza Selene.

To see this beautiful 3yr old perform so brilliantly to become Weser-Ems/ Oldenburg champion 3yr old riding pony mare is incredible! What a talented young mare. I'll be rooting for her in the forthcoming German Federal Championships. Congratulations to Reinhard Kramer

It's also very exciting for me that Sophie's foal this year, She's on Fire x FS Numero Uno, is Sophie's Chanel's full sister! Exciting times ahead 😍
