So, 3 weeks ago we had our first babies of the year!! Late due to my travelling, but I’ve so loved having babies around again. We have a chocolate tortie and white female and black and white and red males.
Black and white may be staying, but we will see….

So this amazing girl, Wrenegade Nanakusa, joined us yesterday. Totally un phased by the long train journey from Glasgow. She is stunning and I’m so grateful to Jane for allowing her to join us.
Now we are full!

Because my eyes haven’t been leaking enough recently…. This evening Rochelle sent me this most adorable image of her young son, Chester reading Milo a bedtime story.
Taking on an older cat is not as straightforward as a kitten. But with time and patience, it just goes to show what can be achieved. Milo has never lived with children and has only been with the family for a few weeks. The bond between children and cats is just amazing!

I made a REALLY difficult decision a couple of weeks ago. An amazing couple came to see the gang and fell in love with the Devon’s. Despite everything I said they weren’t put off and the more we talked I knew that they would be perfect for the breed. I had made the decision to keep both boys from Freda’s last litter. But sometimes you need to do what’s best for the kitten and not be greedy.
Last Wednesday, Kenny, now called Bigglesworth Breakfast Pancake (I love it!) went to his new home not far away, and joined his big brother Meatball! This was the video that I got sent 24hrs later.
I may have shed a tear to see him go, but I know he is loved and going to be spoilt rotten. Thank you

In my capacity as Welfare Officer for the Rex Cat Association......

We are looking for a forever lap for a lovely 8 year old Devon Rex male neuter. Currently in Oxford area. He has to be placed where there are no other cats or young children. Has been used to going out into an enclosed garden space. No health issues - just living in a bit of a stressful environment at the moment and needs his own space. Fully vaccinated. Please PM me if you can offer this boy a home - or would like more information. Please note - a rehoming fee applies.

So because I figured a gang of Devon delinquent’s who can keep each other occupied might be easier than introducing another at a later point and because I REALLY NEEDED another pointed thug in my life, Nana will be joining us at Bigglesworth HQ at the end of the month. She is actually Alma’s half sister and her grandsire is Ted, so she is also very special. Thanks so much to Jane Cox at Wrenegade Devon Rex for allowing her to join us.

I would like to say a huge congratulations to Seanah and Bigglesworth Esme on her show debut today at the Shropshire GCCF show. Esme took 1st and Best of Breed.

Seanah is an amazing young lady, with amazing curls. It was only right that she should have her own curly baby to be proud of and I’m beyond proud of them both. We need to encourage the potential breeders and show people of the future. I know Seanah, her just as brilliant brother, ably helped by their Mum will always do their best.

Onwards and upwards!

The boys are now 9 weeks old and off for their first jabs tomorrow. They are full of mischief and fun

Great day for a play and explore

Now it’s a bit cooler, they want to play. But, there is always one that doesn’t get it

I’d also like to announce our first arrivals of 2023; Ottilie have birth to 2 gorgeous boys 3 weeks ago. A HUGE cream called Quill and a red silver boy named Rocket. They are doing amazing. Ottie is a great mum. This is both her and Ted’s final litter. Both boys will be available.

He’s still going out for walks! Inside coats! Wonder what will happen in the summer?

Brothers can be very annoying

When I try to explain that sweep isn’t like other cats. This is how he travels. Between houses, to the vets, social visits…. He doesn’t care for carriers and he demands to see what is going on around him.
