Stroud Cats Protection Cats Protection is the UK's leading cat welfare charity

The Stroud branch remit covers Stroud, Stonehouse, Dursley, Painswick, Nailsworth, Wotton-Under-Edge and the surrounding areas. Devoted to all things feline, we find loving homes for cats in need, promote the benefits of neutering and provide a wealth of cat advice for all. The work of the branch is all carried out by volunteers on top of their full time jobs and other responsibilities.

An update on Bhindi and Bhaji.
They are doing really well, settled into the bedroom immediately playing lots. I have to control the play together and it can get a bit rough and over stimulated but other than that all good. Eating really well. The photo is just 5 mins after being here. As you can see, not interested in the beds I bought them, my bed is much better....

We are so thrilled to have Lola join our little family of girls, she is an amazing little cat.
We collected her on Friday and when we got her home she hid behind the sofa, but after about 20 minutes she emerged and has settled in really well, bless her.
She is eating and drinking well and using her litter box.
We have a few toys for her which she enjoys playing with, she also enjoys looking out the window and watching the birds. She also loves her cuddles and snuggles up with us on the sofa in the evenings and has slept through both nights. We couldn't have wished for a better match and would like to say thank you for giving us the opportunity to adopt her.

An update for kitten Comet now Snoop. "Just a quick note to say that our latest addition to the family, Snoop, has settled in wonderfully well. We were worried Missy would not be very pleased to have a kitten around but I purchased a Feliway plug and it has truly helped! They now play with each other and even sleep on the same sofa! Many thanks."

We are calling on the government to introduce the mandatory neutering of cats by 6 months of age unless they are registered as licensed breeding cats. Some animal charities are being overwhelmed with abandoned cats and kittens.

Romeo is still missing. He is 10yrs old, black/white male cat, castrated and chipped. He escaped from his carrier at Rowe vets in Bradley Green, Wotton-under-Edge, GL127PP on 21/11/24. He ran across fields and may have reached Charfield or Kinswood villages or back towards W-u-E. Please check outbuildings for a scared sheltering cat and if seen or found, please keep safe and call Rowe Vet Group on 01453 843295 or his owner on 01435 298536. Thank You

#adventcats Day 19 of our Advent cats and we have brave Mandi. She was abandoned and had to have a leg amputated after a road accident. She quickly learnt to play on 3 legs as you can see in the video 😹 She is now settled in her new home. 😻
