As our dogs are so precious to us, it’s vitally important to find the right person to take care of our four legged friends when we are unable to. Searching for the right person can be a daunting experience so I have outlined below and attached a link to help you in your quest to find the right person.
This includes what you should be looking for and what questions you should be asking your potential dog walker or dog boarder.
Always arrange a face to face meeting so you and your dog can meet them, ideally in your own home.

🐶 Do they have any training/qualifications? Dog handling, dog behaviour, canine first aid, DBS are just some examples.

🐶 Do they have insurance and what does it cover. Always ask to see their policy or at least who they are insured with.

🐶 Do they have appropriate transport facilities where multiple dogs will be safe and secure whilst travelling?

🐶 Do they have appropriate licences or have signed a code of conduct? They will be listed with the local council.

🐶 Could they provided references or reviews?

If you have any concerns or queries, any professional dog walker or boarder would be happy to answer them. Feel free to ask for a first test run (walk!)

Today we welcomed a new boy on the block. Introducing the very handsome Rascal, the Rhodesian Ridgeback 😍 Rascal settled in very well with some of the dog squad today 🤩 some of them have met their match with energy levels 💥🤣 but what a big softy 🥰

Gold star for Cooper after completing his 2nd successful week with the dog squad ⭐️🤩 Cooper was quite timid and nervous with other dogs so we’ve taken it slowly with him, starting on the lead and walking with fairly calm and quiet Woofers. He is now a very confident and content little Cooper and loves playing with his new found friends 🐶💕

Today was our final walk with my favourite little collie, Sprocket 😢 Very sadly they’re moving away. Thank you to his lovely owners for my card, gorgeous flowers and fizz. I really do love my little Woofers, we will all miss you Sprocks 🐾🐶💕

Last Sunday I took my own Woofer to Devon for a Working Gundog Certificate assessment. This is a recognised certification for the Kennel Club. I’m pleased to say that Goose passed with flying colours 👏🏻🤩 Thank you to North Devon Working Gundog club for holding both the training and assessment days. After a great training session today we will be looking forward to a weekend off next week!

They have all found their forever homes already, although there are just 2 boys remaining. Both parents are fully health tested and KC registered. Potential homes will be vetted.
