A huge thank you to everyone who joined us on Sunday for our fundraiser for The Guide Dogs! We raised a great amount and were able to meet you all in the gorgeous sunshine. A huge thank you to Alison from Pawsome Trails for the amazing Mantrailing demos and ‘have a go’. Thank you to Dev from Earthly Pets for offering nutritional advice and bringing the gorgeous Lara (Labrador puppy) along! Thank you to Cloverleaf Events Co. for keeping the coffee flowing and the cakes in high supply! 🤩

Today, October 10th, marks . Dogs and the open countryside are very important to our mental health, allowing us to explore with our four legged friends and get out and about in the fresh air. We know our fields have helped many customers during tough days, thanks to feedback we receive, and we are so proud to be able to provide a safe space for you and your dog.

With the darker evenings drawing in, don’t let it deter you from getting out. Our fields are open from 6am-10pm, and we hope to see you there soon 🐾🧡

REMINDER: LIBERTY FIELDS SOCIAL SUNDAY!

A quick reminder that our Social Sunday is THIS weekend - Sunday 8th October!

Here’s what you can expect:

🕰️Our fields will be open to everyone from 10:30am until 2:30pm.
📌Liberty Fields, Brickyard Lane, Studley
💰Free entry, but any donations to the Guide Dogs charity are gratefully received - collection boxes will be dotted around.

🐕The wonderful Dev will be onsite until 12:30pm to talk all things pet nutrition and more! Come by early to catch him and have a chat.
☕️We have the amazing coming to keep the refreshments flowing - hot/cold drinks and cakes available to buy.
🐕‍🦺The brilliant Pawsome Trails will be set up in Dougal’s Den, running some Mantrailing demonstrations as well as allowing you to have a go (entry = a donation to the Guide Dogs)! A fantastic game of ‘hide and seek’ based on search and rescue techniques, providing enrichment from smelling and sniffing.

Bring the children for some fresh air!
Bring your dog for a socialisation (although please keep them on a lead).
Bring just yourselves for a nice walk around our fields for a coffee and catch up with friends!
Everyone is welcome as we continue our support of World Mental Health Day.

In aid of World Mental Health day and our lovely sponsored guide dog puppy Olive, we’ve decided to host a social Sunday to welcome you and your pooches into our fields.

Whether it’s for a walk with your dog, a cuppa coffee and slice of cake, or simply to catch up with friends, come along and enjoy some fresh air!

You don’t have to own a dog - it’s a day for socialising and chatting to people (with or without a dog) in aid of World Mental Health day. You’ll also get the change to meet the Liberty Fields team and ask us questions about the fields; we can’t wait to see you there!

We receive regular updates about Olive’s training and progress, and can’t wait for her to find her forever home and help someone in need.

Here at Liberty Fields we appreciate dogs are not only pets, but can change lives by supporting and helping individuals and families.

It seems summer has finally arrived 🌞

In his hot weather, we recommend keeping your four legged friends out of the sun during the warmer part of the day, with access to fresh, cool water.

Our fields are open from 6am until 10pm every day, so plenty of time either end of the day to let them have a run!

A very Happy New Year to you all! 🥳

We would like to thank you all for your continued support throughout 2022. 🐾

As we enter a new year, this is a polite reminder to please take your rubbish home with you and pick up your dog poo! The bin onsite is for dog poo only but we have had some reports of litter being left in the fields, as well as broken balls and toys. Please familiarise yourself with the terms and conditions which can be found both on our website, and on the gate signs. Anyone found to be leaving litter, or poo, will be blocked from booking with us again and further action may be taken.

For a limited time only, we are opening up Dougal’s Den for everyone to enjoy! From Tuesday 13th December, until Sunday 8th January, our newest field will be open for all. With a smaller size and gale breaks all the way round, it’s the perfect area for dogs who don’t like seeing others, or for any owners wishing to do some training with their pooches.

Dougal’s Den follows the same timing as Maud’s Mount (booking on the hour), however there is hard standing within the field so you can drive in, and shut the gate behind you before letting your dog out. This will reduce any contact with other dogs in the car park.

With the recent dumping of snow in the area, we just wanted to send out a caution regarding our facilities:

Please be cautious of the car park as it may be slippy in places.

If booking Connie’s Corner, please be mindful of the natural water splash as, although this is shallow, it has now frozen over and the ice could be a hazard to both you and your dog.

Please bring fresh water with you on your visit as the fresh water available on site has frozen over. The bowls are still available to be used, however the water is unavailable.

This morning a customer found one of his dogs eating food out of this litter in Connie’s Corner. We ask that you PLEASE take ALL rubbish home with you. Some dogs may be allergic to the contents of this food, and wildlife can also get wrapped up in the packaging. We take great pride in keeping our fields clean, and we ask anyone using the fields to do the same. Anyone found to be littering will not be welcomed back to use our facilities.

BONFIRE NIGHT 🔥💥
Tomorrow is bonfire night which ultimately means fireworks. Whilst some dogs are not bothered by them, others get extremely distressed and anxious. Some of our dogs do not like fireworks, and here are a few things we do to help calm them down:
- put the TV or radio on so reduce the noise of fireworks
- do not let them outside (off a lead) after dark
- create a safe space for them to take themselves off to
- close any curtains so they cannot see fireworks
- offer them a toy or chew for distraction
- comfort them

You spoke and we listened! That is why we are delighted to announce the launch of our Canine Credits! It is now possible to bulk buy sessions in the form of credits, and save! Perfect for regular dog walkers: the more you buy, the more you save! We currently have three offers available:

50 Credits for £45 (save 10%)
100 Credits for £85 (save 15%)
150 Credits for £120 (save 20%)

Your usual booking account will be credited once you buy the preferred package and the credits can be used at any point at checkout, with an expiry date of 1 year! 10 Credits will give you access to a 50 minute slot in the appropriate field. If you require additional dogs, these will be charged at the usual additional cost.

These credits are field specific so any credits bought for Connie’s Corner can only be used in Connie’s Corner, and the same for Maud’s Mount. Additional dog charges still apply. Please see our Terms & Conditions and do not hesitate to contact us with any queries!

We are so happy to announce the launch of our Liberty Fields Memberships - Pooch Professionals! We have launched this membership platform for professional dog walkers and trainers to allow them exclusive access to Dougal’s Den, as well as special daytime discounts in Connie’s Corner and Maud’s Mount throughout the week! Each membership form will be reviewed by the Liberty Fields team and once verified, benefits will be made available!

We are so excited to announce that we are opening a new field! Our third field will be called Dougal’s Den, after our beautiful sheepdog Dougal (a fan favourite)! This will be a small field with access to in-field parking - perfect for professional dog walkers and trainers! Bookings will be available through our professional membership platform (more information on the way!).

Dougal’s Den will be run with the same timings as Maud’s Mount however because of the in-field parking, there should be no cross-over in the car park.

Today is . We all know the importance of mental health, but how can we improve and maintain our mental health? The NHS has published advice on how to improve mental wellbeing with 5 steps:

1. Connect with people
2. Be physically active
3. Learn new skills
4. Give to others
5. Pay attention to the present moment (mindfulness)

Researchers from Austria (such as Dr Iris Schubert, of the University of Vienna) say both owners and dogs influence each other’s coping mechanisms for stress. They claim that dogs that are relaxed and friendly can pass this on to humans, whilst they can also mirror the anxiety and negativity of owners.

Dogs are known to be great comfort companions through their unconditional love and relaxation.

We at Liberty Fields are huge advocates for mental health. Spending time out walking our dogs puts minds at ease and also gets us moving, which is one of the reasons why we set up Liberty Fields.

‘Meet The Team’ 🤩

These two are Dougal and Darcy, our resident sheepdogs. You may not believe it but Darcy is Dougal’s mum! After a happy accident 4 years ago, a bundle of fluff (later named Dougal) arrived. They are both integral parts of our team and work on the farm, that is of course when they’re not busy being harassed by Tattie, or playing in the garden. Dougal has travelled all over the country with working with sheep, leaving Darcy in charge at home. 🐑🐶🐾

This is a polite reminder that the poo bins in the fields and car park are for DOG POO only! Please do not put any general waste in these bins. If this issue continues, we will remove all poo bins, meaning you will have to take your dog’s poo home.
