**Jill Day Dressage Camp (2 Day)**
Fantastic couple of days with Jill Day Dressage here for lots of training, support, inspirational problem solving and goal setting, very useful information.

Training riders in individual sessions in the mornings and running thru dressage tests from Novice to PSG in the afternoons, with a super talk over lunch incorporating mindset, goal setting and staying focused. A super learning weekend for riders, horses and spectators alike.

A huge thank you to our fabulous riders, their horses, their supportive families and our enthralled spectators.
We very much look forward to organising another weekend very soon.
Thank you all so much for a fantastic, relaxed and lovely weekend.

Absolutely!.. pushing from behind to allow the horse to use his neck..... not gadgets pulling his head in and down to floor level!

If anyone, anywhere tells you to pull the horses head down (or uses leverage and gadgets to do so) they have no knowledge of healthy horse biomechanics or of correct training.
The horse's nose must always lead, with the poll highest and the gullet open. The base of the ears mustn't be lower than the withers. The jaw must be mobile. If the horse cannot chew and swallow, the hindlegs cannot operate correctly. If the hindlegs cannot operate correctly, the horse will not be able to jump, or stay off the forehand, or stay sound.

We currently have one space for a Schooling Livery or Sales Livery.. Our clients horses have training according to their individual needs and learning abilities.
Dressage Training:-
From producing the 'green' horse from first ridden right thru to training/improving the more advanced horse upto PSG and everything inbetween, paying close attention to the 'scales of training'.

Jumping Horses
Improving and training both novice horses, more experienced jumpers and troubleshooting, from just starting out to taking your horse out competing if required.

Riding Club Types
Training and troubleshooting the general riding club type horse, with schooling for improving flatwork, jumping, hacking and xc.

All our clients horses have daily turnout as required and a good mix of training according to the horses individual needs. We liaise regularly with our owners and update with videos as well. We also welcome our owners to come and watch their horses working as often as they would like to.

We are located in a small N.Essex/Suffolk village and run a small, peaceful and professional yard.

Stunning dressage horse destined for top level competition.

16.1hh 7yrs Gelding by Hitmaker KWPN.

Big moving, rhythmical, 'off the floor' paces and an exceptionally easy willing temperament. He is now working at elementary having been competed over the winter getting placed 1st or 2nd most times out with his very young rider.

He is perfect to handle and deal with, loves hacking and happily walks out 'on the buckle', interested in his surroundings but not spooky. No vices

Only sadly for sale as his movement is just too big for his young rider. He has been with them since 4yrs old and she has done super well with him, but unfortunately he is growing faster than she she is and sheer beds something smaller!.

Not a bad bone in this charming boys nature.

16.1 Dark Bay Mare with super paces, established lateral work. Forward thinking whilst being very 'rideable' and trainable. 17yrs young totally sound fit and not a mark on her! She has had a lovely life and is very well educated, pops a decent course of fences as well and is good as gold to hack. Not suitable for novice riders as not used to people who don't know how to ride and balance. No vices, totally sound, no blemishes.
Lots of videos available schooling, hacking and popping a fence. Ideally suited oo competent confident rider who likes mares.

Quality Hay or Haylage is available to them at all times.. and you are always welcome to 'top them up' whenever you wish.

Supplements to be provided by owners.

Bringing in includes washing mud off legs/tails when brought in - including drying legs and bandaging throughout winter to avoid the risk of mud fever - as required.

Care & attention in accordance with veterinary requirements, such as dressing changes, wound care, any drug administration etc as agreed with owner and vet.

We operate a well run, professional, neat, tidy and efficient yard where the horses health & care really do come first.

Equine Rug wash on-site DIRT Busters Equine Rug Cleaning 10% discount to all livery clients.

Lovely woodland and grass track to hack around the property, along with quiet country lanes and tracks for hacking directly from the yard.

Rider training and horse training, schooling on the days you can't if required. Riders have trained and competed in Dressage to PSG level, Showjumping Internationally to 1.45 level and Eventing to Intermediate 2 day level and train riders both here and in Europe.

PART TIME
Enthusiastic person to join our small team.
HOURS...
Fexible, initially 2 to 3hrs a day would be great, could be more in due course.
ROLE....
Lots of one to one contact with our lovely horses...skip out, tidy, grooming, tack up/untack for the riders, wash off, rugging up & generally making sure our horses are happy. If you can lunge or ride well and want to exercise/hack, that's great too. If you can clip/trim feathers, chins etc then even better!
We just need an additional pair of hands as we are very busy at the moment and our horses need some pampering!
You must be smartly dressed for the job, enjoy keeping everything neat and tidy with attention to detail, must have a sense of humour and be friendly to livery owners and visiting clients looking at horses.

Quietly very busy these days!.. lots of coaching dressage and jumping clients, plus... currently have 2 sales livery horses in being schooled and 'checked out', one schooling livery coming in this week for a few weeks , another sales livery on Wednesday and 'fingers crossed' a new young one that I'm hoping to buy coming by the end of the week!.. oh and an additional groom starting - allways need 'more hands on deck'..
