Great effort for a slightly wetter ballingdon fete 🥳

Our donation from the 2024 Ballingdon Fete is £4,000!!!! Not bad for a little over four hours!

Thank you all so much for coming and supporting our local good causes!

Everything is ready for the 2024 Ballingdon Fete!

We’ve bought all the food and drinks ready to sell in aid of our good causes, so all we need is you to turn that into cash we can donate!

We’ll be there setting up this morning and welcome you all from 1200!!!

ITS NEARLY TIME 🤩 dog show prizes all done, get your prized pooch entered for some of the classes, very low entrance fee and all goes to local causes and you might even get a nice goodie bag 🥰 if you get a 1st place you will also be called back for a chance to take best in show ! Here’s a little sneak peak at the best in show bundle 😜 as well as the dog show there are loads of stools, bar and bbq, family friendly activities and live music it’s always very well attended and all the money raised goes to local causes 👍 can’t recommend it enough come and see for yourself 😁

Puppy pampering not about pampering and not physically necessary at 9 weeks but vets/groomers will be grateful in the future when she’s in perfectly chilled having her feet/ears/teeth touched. 5 minutes every other day when she’s wound down and chilled 😎 and as a couple have asked Skye is absolutely fine too Roxie is not a replacement 😁

Exciting new addition to the Seedee/cheshire family, meet Roxie she is a working cocker spaniel and when she has finished her jabs you will see a lot of her around the shop 🥰 her and Skye are already best buddies 🙌

I𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗙𝗥𝗢𝗠 𝗦𝗘𝗦𝗔𝗪

Suffolk and Essex Small Animal Welfare Animal has been established in Leavenheath for over three decades.

It grew from small beginnings, becoming a well respected organisation, gaining a reputation as the first port of call for any animal related needs in the community.

Unfortunately, ongoing organisational problems, coupled with advancing years and health issues have placed a heavy burden upon all concerned in recent years.

Having explored all options, the Trustees concluded they were left with no alternative, other than to close SESAW to incoming animals on 31st August, 2024.

There will be no further admissions after that date but rehoming of animals currently in the care of SESAW will continue until all are safely relocated. Fortunately the Charity is financially secure with more than sufficient funds to carry out this task unimpeded.

Any remaining funds will be redirected to likeminded charities with the same mission. This is a duty the Trustees take very seriously, in order to honour the donors who have contributed to the success of SESAW over the years.

Updates will be posted on the official SESAW page. Well wishers are asked to refrain from adding to daily deluge of calls, texts and emails. Non urgent messages will be responded to as and when time permits.

Those in need of help are advised to seek help from other animal rescue organisations.

A huge debt of gratitude is owed to all past and present volunteers and friends of SESAW, the local Community, businesses and the Public for their generosity and support, without which the Charity could not have existed.

The ideal scenario would be for SESAW to go ‘out of business’ because it was no longer needed. Sadly, given the unrelenting behaviour of the human race, it seems animal rescues will always be needed. The Trustees send their very best wishes to those who carry on the good work.

It’s coming 😍 we will be supporting the dog show as always with some great prizes. It’s all about raising money for local causes and it’s always a great turn out and great day for dogs, kids and big kids 😜 you don’t need a ballingdon passport to attend so please come on by 🙌

Please bear with us. We currently have no phone line as we are having a Smart Meter installed, which means no electric. We do, however, have a working card machine (fab technology) so are still open and operating to the best of our ability.

Next weekend, Josie is going to be walking the Jurassic Coast (or at least 58km of it with 1900 m elevation) with Ultra Challenge.

Josie is fundraising for the 3rd Sudbury Scout Group, who are trying to raise funds to replace their 30+ year old Climbing Wall. With an overall cost likely to be over £52,000, every penny really will count.

Chris himself, used to climb the old wall in his young scouting days and our own Archie is now a budding Beaver. Having the new wall installed will be a large asset to all the Sudbury Scouts not only now but also for generations to come.

Our regulars won’t be surprised but a heads up to some of our new customers we don’t open bank holidays so we are closed tomorrow (if you have a delivery order in you will still get it tomorrow very early) open Saturday as normal 9-5:30 and closed again Sunday/monday, back to normal Tuesday.
