SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Darcy💓! Darcy has been attending regularly hydrotherapy in the pool for the past month after a diagnosis of suspected elbow dysplasia. Darcy had been going lame on and off before starting hydrotherapy, her owners now report she is no longer going lame🤩! When Darcy first started with me believe it or not she couldn’t swim! Her instinct was there but her technique was not… this week she had her best session yet keeping her forelimbs under the water surface and engaging her hind limbs. Her movement is now much more controlled and we have very little splashing! Well done Darcy throughly deserved this week!🤩🐾💙🧡

Welcome to Aqua Paws sweet Noah🧡. Noah is currently under the care of Danaher Animal Home-RSPCA and is on the look out for his forever home. 🏡 Noah has a partially ruptured cruciate ligament, the home are currently fundraising for him to have surgery. After having worked in rescue previously, rescue dogs hold a special place in my heart 💓, I had to help this boy. I have offered hydrotherapy treatment in the hope he may be able to avoid surgery.❤️‍🩹 Noah was a delight in the underwater treadmill he took to it so quickly. He loved the toys and soaked up plenty of cuddles 🥰. SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Dakota💕! Dakota has recently started hydrotherapy here at Aqua Paws for a suspected cruciate injury. Initially we began in the underwater treadmill aiming to increase weight bearing and stifle flexion, despite being a nervous pup she took to this so well. Recently Dakota has started to go in the hydro pool as part of her treatment as this was new to her she was initially very nervous and looked to her mum constantly for reassurance. This week she surprised us by coming off the platform by herself and has even started to do some wide turns on her own🤩! Dakota I am SO proud of you❤️! You are making such great progress and to see you grow in confidence is just so heartwarming. Well done little lady see you soon!🤩🐾💙🧡

Santa Paws has come early! It’s that time of year where I will be seeing some of you for the last time until after Christmas- how fast has this year gone😲! A big thank you to Kirsty and her CEO/Quality control Dudley at Bones & Belly Rubs for making a huge order I put in to treat all the pups here at Aqua Paws for Christmas 🎅🏼 🎄! SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Dudley! Dudley has been coming to hydro after experiencing neck discomfort. Since starting hydrotherapy he hasn’t had any flare ups!🤩 He has made huge progress on the underwater treadmill over the past couple of months! His cardiovascular fitness has improved as well as his muscle tone over his hind limbs. It is so lovely to see how much Dudley is benefitting from his sessions, he always comes in full of beans and is always so excited to be here- he must know how good hydro makes him feel! Look forward to seeing you again next week Duds! 🤩🐾💙🧡

Firstly I want to say a HUGE thank you to all of my lovely clients for keeping me so busy since opening the centre in September. It is truly the best spending my days with such wonderful souls❤️

I am taking a break over Christmas and new year to spend some much needed time with family, friends and of course my CEO scoobs🐾 🎄 Aqua paws also needs some maintenance carrying out and a good deep clean ready to start a fresh in the new year!🤩.

🎅🏼🐾Please book sessions in advance in the lead up to Christmas. A polite reminder that sessions cancelled in 24hours or less will be charged full session price- sorry but it is unfair on other dogs who may miss out and I cannot afford to run my business if this happens. Sessions for dogs who require hydrotherapy for health related reasons will be prioritised.❤️‍🩹 Fun and fitness sessions will be given if there is space or cancellations.🐾🧡💙

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Tippy! Tippy has been attending regular hydrotherapy for subluxation of his hips. When Tippy started with me he was very restrictive into right hip extension, 5 weeks later we have seen a huge improvement with his right hip extension and he is more comfortable on passive range of motion through this hip. Well done Tippy you are really putting in your best efforts with hydrotherapy, you are a little star! 🤩🐾💙🧡

Ernie has recently started hydrotherapy on the underwater treadmill and is smashing it (the squeezy cheese helps keep him motivated)🤩! He is coming to increase weight bearing and muscle mass to his left hind following recent surgery for a luxating patella. Ernie you are such a joy to have here at Aqua Paws, see you next week little dude!🐾💙🧡

Welcome Buster and Daisy 🌼 🥰. These two beautiful pups had their first sessions here at Aqua Paws today and done incredibly well! Both Daisy and Buster suffer with luxating patella’s which is when the knee cap pops out of where it should be. Hydrotherapy will help to increase muscle mass in their hind limbs as well as improve their gait and help prevent compensatory issues. Looking forward to seeing you both again soon🥰💙🧡🐾🐶

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Poppy! Poppy attends weekly hydrotherapy in both the pool and underwater treadmill. Poppy had bilateral hip dysplasia and had her left hip replaced in 2021. Poppy has made so much progress over the years of me treating her and she still continues to amaze us! Her core strength this week and extension of her right hip was amazing for her! So proud of you Pops! 🤩🐾💙🧡

Welcome Frank! 🥰 This gorgeous boy had his first hydrotherapy session in the pool yesterday and was an absolute super star! 🌟 He is also the first Rottweiler to visit Aqua Paws🤩! He has been having regular massages with the wonderful Fiona at Colchester Canine Massage and will now be having regular hydrotherapy to help manage his arthritis. These two therapies work fabulously together 🤩! See you again soon Frank!🐶🧡💙

A gentle underwater treadmill session for my CEO Scooby🥰 Scooby hasn’t been 100% for the best part of a month, yelping randomly, loosing interest in things he once enjoyed, at one point our precious boy started struggling to walk. After several vet trips, and an MRI later we have a diagnosis of 4 slipped discs. 3 in his neck, 1 in his back. I want to raise awareness on how important it is to listen to our dogs and push for a diagnosis if you feel something isn’t right because you can then find the correct form of treatment. Scooby is now on pain and lifestyle management and is a much happier boy❤️

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Norman! I think he also wins an award for the longest tongue 😂. This little dude amazed us with his turns in the pool this week! When I first started treating Norman he really struggled with his stability and core strength in the pool so turns were extremely difficult for him but this week he wowed us and with such confidence too! A before and after photo of Norman to show what a positive impact hydrotherapy has had to his life. His posture has improved, as has his strength! Well done Norman you smashed it! 🤩🐾💙🧡
