Welcome Buster and Daisy 🌼 🥰. These two beautiful pups had their first sessions here at Aqua Paws today and done incredibly well! Both Daisy and Buster suffer with luxating patella’s which is when the knee cap pops out of where it should be. Hydrotherapy will help to increase muscle mass in their hind limbs as well as improve their gait and help prevent compensatory issues. Looking forward to seeing you both again soon🥰💙🧡🐾🐶

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Poppy! Poppy attends weekly hydrotherapy in both the pool and underwater treadmill. Poppy had bilateral hip dysplasia and had her left hip replaced in 2021. Poppy has made so much progress over the years of me treating her and she still continues to amaze us! Her core strength this week and extension of her right hip was amazing for her! So proud of you Pops! 🤩🐾💙🧡

Welcome Frank! 🥰 This gorgeous boy had his first hydrotherapy session in the pool yesterday and was an absolute super star! 🌟 He is also the first Rottweiler to visit Aqua Paws🤩! He has been having regular massages with the wonderful Fiona at Colchester Canine Massage and will now be having regular hydrotherapy to help manage his arthritis. These two therapies work fabulously together 🤩! See you again soon Frank!🐶🧡💙

A gentle underwater treadmill session for my CEO Scooby🥰 Scooby hasn’t been 100% for the best part of a month, yelping randomly, loosing interest in things he once enjoyed, at one point our precious boy started struggling to walk. After several vet trips, and an MRI later we have a diagnosis of 4 slipped discs. 3 in his neck, 1 in his back. I want to raise awareness on how important it is to listen to our dogs and push for a diagnosis if you feel something isn’t right because you can then find the correct form of treatment. Scooby is now on pain and lifestyle management and is a much happier boy❤️

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Norman! I think he also wins an award for the longest tongue 😂. This little dude amazed us with his turns in the pool this week! When I first started treating Norman he really struggled with his stability and core strength in the pool so turns were extremely difficult for him but this week he wowed us and with such confidence too! A before and after photo of Norman to show what a positive impact hydrotherapy has had to his life. His posture has improved, as has his strength! Well done Norman you smashed it! 🤩🐾💙🧡

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

This week the swimmer of the week is Rocky! 🤩 Rocky goes in both the underwater treadmill and the pool, after fracturing his left forelimb several years ago. This week Rocky went in the pool and amazed us with his confidence, coming off the platform twice on his own to swim to the other side of the pool. For a dog who isn’t the biggest fan of water this was a big deal! So proud of you Rocky! 🤩🐾💙🧡

Bailey had a wonderful hydrotherapy session today relaxing in the pool. After a few lengths he decided he wanted to float and so that’s what we did! This boy even started snoring he was so relaxed 😴🥰. Allowing him to float and just relax in the warmth of the water will do wonders for his achy joints and muscles. Bailey you are such a sweetie 🍬 🥰💙🧡

Murphy came to see me earlier this week, after his session he grabbed himself a teddy and got himself cosy on the CEO chair 🥰. One of my favourite things about the centre is seeing the dogs chill out after their sessions, I really wanted to create a relaxed environment and I think Murphy shows how relaxing it is here💙🧡

SWIMMER OF THE WEEK🐾💙

Maddie is this weeks swimmer of the week! She has been attending regular hydrotherapy on the underwater treadmill following FHNE (Femoral Head and Neck Excision) surgery due to severe hip dysplasia to her right hip. FHNE involves removing the head and part of the neck of the femur, to relieve pain in the hip joint. Maddie has made amazing progress in just 3 sessions, she is using the limb more and we have also achieved an increase in her range of motion. Maddie you are a superstar, see you next week! 🥰🌟🐾🧡💙

The CEOs bestie Hobo came for his hydrotherapy session on the underwater treadmill last week. He greeted me with a sing song 🎶 and dancing feet. 🐾Scooby showed him around and even let him on his special CEO chair. Hobo it was lovely to see you and your mum 🥰🐾💙🧡

Hopper got awarded swimmer of the week this week for his excellent turns in the pool! Hopper is a tripod so this is an amazing achievement for him! His confidence is really coming out in the pool and it is wonderful to see! Hopper you are a pleasure, see you next week 🌟🧡💙

Baxter is the first swimmer of the week here at Aqua Paws Wellness Centre. He has returned to hydrotherapy with so much confidence. Baxter can be a nervous boy so it’s great to see how confident he is here and how much he is enjoying his sessions. Well done Baxter, see you next week! 🥰🌟🐾🧡💙
