Today we dropped off left over Christmas stock, blankets, bedding, coats & dog harnesses to The Max & George Trust ๐
These dogs have no homes, however they have lots of dogs that are available for adoption. Unfortunately most of them wonโt have warm loving homes for Christmas Day so weโve given them some Christmas presents that Iโm sure the dogs will love.
This rescue isnโt only a dog rescue, but they also do rehabilitation, adoption centre & help find missing dogs. This rescue is run by volunteers. They rely on funds & donations of bedding, blankets & food to keep them going.
As we have 3 Romanian rescues ourselves which were found abandoned in a field, rescued from a kill shelter or dumped outside a bagel shop, this rescue and their misson is close to our hearts. The max & George trust rescue the unwanted & neglected dogs in Romania in hope of finding them a second chance in finding a home in the uk. This local dog rescue based in Lichfield has touched our hearts and we really want to do what we can to help out. The dedication of all the volunteers with the brilliant work & endless hours they put into this rescue is so wholesome.
It really puts it into perspective when we go back home to our perfectly, spoiled dogs! There are so many beautiful dogs that have been through hell and being saved from kill shelters. After being to Romania myself to visit a kill shelter, I can tell you now these dogs have come from the worst places imaginable and it really is heartbreaking ๐
