Increasingly I'm finding dogs with matted tails, ears and cheeks right at the skin. Although they are clearly being brushed, the problem lies in the fact that the bristles aren't getting down to skin level. Previously I have dematted these areas however it's painful for your dog and painful for me too as I have now developed tendonitis. The best way to stop this happening is using a comb on these areas. I'm happy to show you how on your next visit. In the future however I will not be dematting but shaving these areas. Please donβt be offended if I get my comb out when you arrive - but it's the best way to show you where the problems are. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! Mary Ann
