For many dogs, the festive period can be stressful, especially when many more people are around. It is, therefore, important to keep an eye on your dog’s body language and ensure that you and your family can recognise the signs to help keep children and dogs safe around each other.

Please be on the lookout for Adders, especially if walking in woodland clearings and on heathlands.

Adders are secretive animals and prefer to slither off into the undergrowth rather than confront and bite humans and domestic animals; most attacks happen when they are trodden on or picked up.

A bite requires medical attention - a Yorkie sadly had to have their leg amputated as the owner didn't realise they had been bitten until too late.

Adders are a protected species - NEVER harm them.

Chemicals and fertilisers are the main garden dangers to dogs, with slug and snail pellets that contain metaldehyde being the most dangerous and common.

Very useful information on this poster for those that like to wander. In my youth (I’m 16.5 years old now) I used to like bunny chasing and in the early days did a few flits lasting several hours! I always returned to my hooman’s parked car so I can confirm the first part of the poster is accurate. Woofs a very naughty Lily 😈

Supervised and Training Walk - Meet 10am 13th August 2023 - Fincham PE33 9EP. Please note the change of location this Sunday!

A bit of recall practice out on this walk. Walking the fields of Fincham. A more rural walk this time. We will look at the Countryside Code and how to be a responsible dog owner.

Exercise and socialisation is important for any dog. Our orgainsed social walk is an excellent way to socialise your dog and meet like minded people.

Everyone will be working on different skills from excitement to reactivity. Muzzled dogs welcome.

Feel free to use this as a training walk but please note time is split between each attendee.

Please leave your dogs in the car until introductions are done.
Dogs will be on leads.

Cuppa and a piece of cake at the end of walk!!!

Please book in advance to secure a place.
£10.00 per dog. 45 minute sessions.

We want people to be held accountable for dogs that attack other pets. At the moment a dog attacking another pet isn't an offence unless it's deemed to be out of control. We want this to be made a specific offence, like worrying livestock.

Thanks to all that came tonight! Everyone did well! Well done!
