Eddy came in today for a full deshed and tidy-up, and just look at that happy face! There’s something so special about caring for our golden oldies—they’re always so gentle, loving, and full of wisdom. 🚨 Weekend Rescue Mission: 3 Abandoned Dogs Saved! 🐶❤️

How was your weekend? Ours took an unexpected turn when we got the call to help rescue not one, not two, but THREE abandoned retrievers in Gower. Sadly, this is becoming all too common in Swansea and the surrounding areas. 💔

A massive THANK YOU to everyone who dropped off food and treats—it meant the world as we worked to gain their trust. Seeing them waiting for me on the eighth visit gave me hope. With some outside-the-box thinking, we managed to get all three safely into a sheep trailer and transported them to a secure location until rescue teams could step in.

These dogs have been neglected in a way no pet should ever experience. If you or someone you know is struggling, please know that there are options. Abandoning them to fend for themselves isn’t one of them.

January has been an incredibly busy month for us, and we truly appreciate your patience as we work through all the messages and appointment requests. We are doing our best to catch up and accommodate everyone as quickly as possible.

Please keep in mind that our appointment slots are filling up very fast. If you typically schedule your pooch’s grooming session every six weeks, we highly recommend booking well in advance to secure your preferred time. We always strive to fit everyone in, but availability is becoming limited.

Additionally, we want to remind you that we will be closed during the last week of March, reopening on April 8th. This closure will result in our schedule filling up even faster in the days leading up to our break and immediately after we reopen. To avoid disappointment, we encourage you to book your appointments as soon as possible.

Thank you for your continued support—we can’t wait to see you and your furry friends soon!

Hazels first ever groom🐾

It’s so important to get your puppy used to the grooming process at a young age.

Although the full range of grooming treatments may not be necessary from an early age you can still get your puppy used to the process so that as they get older they are fully comfortable. Things you can do at home to help prepare your puppy for grooming:

🐶 Get your puppy used to being handled in ways they may not be used to – e.g. having their paw pads tickled or their ears looked at

🐾Pet, cuddle and soothe them through any grooming as this will ensure they remain calm

❤️Keep grooming activity short at first, until your puppy gets comfortable and then you can extend it
If you use any tools – such as nail clippers – show them to your puppy so they’re not scared

🧼 When you bathe your puppy make sure you stay with them at all times, lavishing them with attention and affection in the same way you would a baby
