Festive bandanas ❤️

In case you were on the fence about whether your hound needs a festive bandana, here's a pic of little Elfyn looking completely splendid in his 😍

Our bandanas are already made and ready to send, so still plenty of time to order and receive ahead of the big ho ho ho.

They're £9.50 plus p&p. Reversible design with tartan on one side and a festive print on the other. Two different prints available.

Elfyn is wearing the whippet size, and we also have greyhound size. Of course they will fit lots of other breeds too.

Double tap if, like me, you find this time of year A LOT!

Bonnie Foxes has been busy! And not just with Christmas jumpers! I've been busy with all sorts of jumpers, dog ones and human ones, dino spikes, zips, fun custom requests, snoods and even scrunchies! So thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my mad dream!

Away from the business the kids are keeping me on my toes. Our Christmas elves have arrived. Thankfully they are not too naughty but they do like to move about the house, steal biscuits, make Lego models and things like that.. The children have Elf Day at school tomorrow so I've been rummaging in the loft for the Christmas hats this evening. And my youngest lost his first tooth today... apparently the tooth fairy leaves £2 so I hope she can find some change. Then next week it's Christmas concerts, so I must remember to iron the tea towel and write his name on the tunic! 🙃😬

Anyway if we survive all that I'm planning to keep working until the 18th December. I really hope to clear all orders before the Christmas break so my plan is to close the shop once I fill my sewing diary. As of now I can take about 8 more orders before I need to close. So if you were hoping to order in 2024 you probably better do it soon!

Anyway, keep swimming folks. If you ever need to whinge about the crazy busy-ness of this time of year I am all ears 😘♥️

Hello, just thought introduce myself. I'm Verity, and with a bit of help from my rescue greyhound Nellie, I make clothing for sighthounds.

I mostly make jumpers and snoods, and plan to add some fleeces and coats next year.

I have a theory about greyhound ears...

I think that as greyhounds get older and more settled in their rescue homes their ears get bigger and more expressive. I definitely see this with my Nellie. When she first arrived her ears were always pinned to her head but now they look like umbrellas. This is a photo of Lily who is obviously very settled and happy as she has the most excellent ear expressions.

Do you think this is a thing? Have you noticed your hounds ears getting more wild with age? Do tell me.

Introducing the Ziggy Penguin Extravaganza 🐧🧡 💜
whip took our Penguin Party jumper and completely transformed it! And I have to say I LOVE it! (I also love Ziggy's little face 🥹)

Instead of a light blue body we have black and purple, and a fluffy blue neck lining! It's quirky and penguin-esque and completely brilliant.

Custom orders always make me happy as they are always wonderful and always something I just wouldn't have come up with myself. So, thank you Ziggy and team for trusting us with your idea.

After sewing lots of jumpers for my own rescue greyhound, Nellie... last year I took the leap, left my stressful job in pharma and set up a little Sighthound sewing business!

18 months later I'm sewing full time and have made 100s of sweaters and snoods for sighthounds of all sizes, and it's such a joy!

RECYCLED ♻️ DOG WALKER SNOODS 🚶🏼‍♀️🐕

I always forget to tell you about the things I make for humans!

With the weather getting super chilly all of a sudden I thought you might like to know about our cosy snoods.

They are an adult one-size, made of 50% recycled bottles ♻️ in a chunky knit. I make them myself, completely by hand, no looms or machines.

I have one myself which I wear all the time (swipe through the pics to see 🫣), and I also sold lots last year, so they're tried and tested and got a big thumbs up!

The snoods are very easy to wear, no fuss, thick enough to keep your neck warm but not too thick that you over heat. Perfect for dog walking, much better than a scarf when you need to be picking up poo, if you know what I mean 🙈🤭

They're £29 each, available from Etsy now. I have a few ready made so delivery will be speedy.

I'm not sure if that music is the perfect fit or the worst fit ever 😂😂😂 Made me chuckle anyhow! Just thought I'd let you know that our rainbow band sweaters now come in so many colours! And they all look AMAZING! As with all our sweaters you can choose them with sleeves like a jumper, or without sleeves like a tankie. Just choose from the Etsy drop-down. They're made from french terry, which is the sort of fabric you expect from a shop-bought sweater. It's 95-96% cotton, feels lovely and soft, and has a little stretch to help when getting it on and off. Head to Etsy to browse. The Crochet Jacket Thanks Udon, for some exceptional modelling skills 🌈 I was so happy to see this marvellous jacket off to its new home! It was a joy to make (even if it did take all my brain power to balance all those colours!). I made it slightly longer on request, by adding some grey scale edging, so that it would be the perfect Udon size.
