Incredibly sad day here at Housty. FTCH Tailorsdrift Shadowland, our Jacky Boy, went to sleep after a short illness with lymphoma. Truly the dog of a lifetime, who was able to reach the very top of his sport and achieve 4th place in the British Spaniel Championships. We'll never own another like him, the best, kindest, most loving best friend you could hope for. Sleep tight boy😭😭😭

We are currently looking for weekend volunteers. Candidates must be 14 years of age or older. You would be working 8am til 12pm as part of a team. Duties would include, feeding, cleaning out, walking dogs and socializing pups. Many of our volunteers go on to study animal science courses. Reliability is essential. For a number of years we have operated on an appointment system between 9am and 5pm. We do this to enable us to plan our day out and spend as much time out with our residents as possible. For the most part this has worked well, however, lately more and more people are turning up whenever they feel like despite having an appointment time. If you are an hour late, then that is an hour that we are unable to take the dogs out and an hour lost from our day. We understand there are occasions when lateness is unavoidable, but a phone call to let us know would enable us to continue with our work. Could we please ask that if appointment times can't be kept to, then you let us know. Thank you all and hopefully see you and your doggies over the summer.
