THE GOWER DOG TRAINERS FAMOUS DOG TRAINING DAYS ……
I offer full training days where I will work on a 1 to 1 basis with your dog and set the boundaries for good behaviour. This day will involve socialisation with other dogs. The building blocks for recall, handler focus and heel work basics, I also help build your dogs confidence.
As well as this I can aid with overcoming behavioural challenges such as lead reactivity, jumping up, aggression and much more.
Dependant on what is desirable for the owner and dog I will then work on selected goals for obedience and manners.... After the training day I will go through what the dog has learnt and the methods of training with you as a owner, so you can get practicing at home.
My training is on a one to one basis.

Just got a new puppy and are looking for professional guidance on how to approach those crucial first weeks at home? Perhaps your puppy is already home and you could use some pointers on housebreaking and socialisation? This 40-minute session is designed to cover everything you need to know from toileting to teething, we’re here to act as your dog doula!

1 hour session for the hands-on dog owner to get some professional guidance from a dog trainer. Want a really impressive sit or down stay? Reliable recall? Does your dog rush out of your front door or pick things up that they shouldn’t? We’ll teach you how to lay foundations for great behaviour. We are experienced in these areas and they are all things we would love to help you with. 🐾TGDT FAMOUS TRAINING DAYS 🐾
We’ll take your dog for some one to one training followed by a turnover session with you at the end. Does your dog struggle to relax at home? Perhaps they bark at other dogs on walks or pull on the lead? We’ll lay the foundations of good behaviour for you. During the handover we’ll show you how to build on these foundations. We try to get as much of an understanding of your dog as we can in our time with them, including getting a solid understanding of what works for them. That way we can advise you best on what works for YOUR dog, because every dog is very unique.

The training day is specifically designed to tailor to every owners needs, at the end of the day time will be spent going through training techniques and a training schedule with you to keep your dogs training on track.

Bonnies training day
Here's a little snippet from Bonnies training day..
We had lots of fun using treats and a training ball to train heel work and make it fun for Bonnie during her day we managed to set the foundations for good heel work and she also mastered stay, see you can teach an adult dog new tricks.

I provide 1-1 training sessions, I travel to clients homes and from there I provide training advice and show owners how to apply positive reinforcement to get well behaved dogs ( I will go with clients on walks to parks etc and put training into action in busier environments as well) 🐕

Oscar Recall training
Here's a little clip of Oscar doing some recall training with me today in his day training session, we had great fun turning recall in to a game . This is good way to work on recall for a high pray drive dog like oscar who is easily distracted. We worked on his recall and focus to overcome his selective hearing and his desire to sniff instead of listening to his handler.

Mitzy - cavalier king charles spaniel! First training session
Mitzy's owners initially contacted me with concerns over her reactivity and over excitement when meeting other dogs on walks.
Before the training session today she would pull and lunge towards other dogs, making her difficult to handle on walks, and it impossible for her owners to trust her to be let off the lead.
Not only did Mitzy overcome her reactivity during the training session but she also showed how she could be obedient around other dogs on and off the lead!
Each training session is catered to the individual dogs development and the owners requirements 🐾 All enquiries regarding training welcomed please get in touch!
