Testing orientation
***REAL LIFE TEST***
I've been training this lovely 9 months old yakutian laika for 3 weeks now. She has no history of any kind of previous training. We've been playing a lot of orientation games and yesterday I've decided to test the water with her and see if she chooses to orient back to me when I move away from the place we were happily playing previously. I wanted to see if she understands the foundations for the concept of proximity. no command or cue was given to her in order to follow me. She is such a clever girl and as the video shows she clearly making GOOD DECISIONS. Sooo happy with her progress β€οΈπ
Dog is carrying out the exercise by responding to sign commands only ( no sound)
Silence makes the world a calmer place. That is also right when training with your dog. If you wish to add calmness to any situation when you still need your dog to perform a certain task, use sign language only. As an example, watch the video when I was giving the 'approach' and 'down' cues to the dog multiple times from the distance.
Let's train calmness πβ₯οΈπ
Let's get the kids involved and train calmness βοΈππβ₯οΈππΎβ£οΈπ ( it might work for both, kids & dogs)π HAVE FUN πβ₯οΈπ

Foundation stage of 'GO UNDER' game
Loving the VIBE!!! Perfect example how to put down the right foundation of a strong, happy and respectful relationship between children and dogs at an early stage while teaching the puppy real life skills although games. ***GAME-TRAIN-GAIN***
5 and a half years old child playing the'open hand' game with two dogs at the same time and using hand signal only with one ππΎβ£οΈβ₯οΈπΎ
***FOCUS***
When you use games that develop your dogs focus things all of a sudden become very calm. The 'open hand game' and hand signs both encourage your dog to keep his focus on you, build their self-control and respond without any vocal cues.
Watch the video!βοΈπβ€οΈπΎπ
My daughter is presenting how to play the open hand game with a dog and a puppy at the same time, at the end only using hand signal to one dog while she is looking at the other one and waiting for the pup to complete the ' open hand' game (i.e. looking into my daughter's eyes instead of her hand). She was 5 and a half when this video was taken. Look how much she is in control. You and your little ones can reach this level off calmness if you keep practising focus games and hand signals. LET'S PLAY GAMES! *** GAME-TRAIN-GAIN***
Lola is playing the messy game. What a confident little puppy :) You GO girl!
Most people would only see the rubbish being tossed around by a puppy. However what WE see here at our Puppy Party class is a Self-Confidence booster, Optimisum grower and Super FUN game. Let's make use of all the package materials, plastic bottles and empty boxes. MESSY GAME RULES!
