My heart is so full right now 🥰 Taking George for a muzzle free run around after people pointing, making comments and avoiding us in the vets 😞
Just a few Mucky Pup regulars ❤️
A massive thank you to Ali and Rob (Thor & Odin's owners) for Dozers new coat ❤️❤️❤️

‘Orientation Game’
The orientation game teaches your dog to reorient to you quickly and starts building a foundation for quick recall.
Paired with ‘The Name Game’ and ‘Proximity Training’ (coming soon!) this builds a focus around being close to the owner. Practice in the home first then start adding distractions before taking these games out on a walk with you!
• Toss food away from you
• As soon as the dog turns back to you - click and…
• Toss food again
• Repeat
Remember;
• Toss food in different directions
• Do not nag or coax. He will learn better if you let him figure it out for himself rather than making it easier for him. Be patient!!
• If he is having trouble work in a smaller space and remove distractions. You can also use higher value treats
• Add in distractions when he is an expert at this game
• Throw food towards a distraction
• Start with small distractions and build up

If your dog doesn't like being brushed or reacts to the brush, chances are you're doing it too hard or using the wrong brush for their specific coat. So instead, build up a positive association with being brushed by including a mutually exclusive behaviour that includes confidence building and them using their nose. Such as a snuffle mat, lick mat or even a kong! This exercise can also be used with bathing/ showering!
If you have any tips that you have found useful please feel free to DM me and I will include them in my Top Tip Tuesday!
