Labrador:

Mature and beautiful lady Bella back for her interim wash. She may not be able to stand the whole duration but she’s still very patient and great for me 🫶🏼

Bella had a lovely soapy wash with Groom Professional ‘Dirty Dog’ which gets deep into her dense thick coat to ensure any grit and dust is loosened as much as possible.

Lots of dead hair being shed with the blaster which is normal for Bella.

Nails also trimmed on request for this wash and dry today which is no problem at all!

See you in 4 weeks for a full groom 😘

Cocker Spaniels

Reality of grooming. No time left to take a photo after clearing away all the fur on Sargent and Harry, so here’s some of the mess I made lol.

Also I captured a before and after of their main coat so you can see the difference during the transformation.

These two are really well behaved for the 5 hours they’re with me but they get have bigger breaks in between the process.

Orders of the day, 6mm reverse cut leaving feathers on the back of the legs to grow out plus top half of ears clipped to a 10 Blade re v. Short!

Cockapoo:

Poppy is here regularly every 6 weeks and her coat for this breed is really manageable.

Yorkshire Terrier: Newbie Willow visited for a full groom.

Nothing too short for this young lady and what a very patient pup she was too!

⏰ Our shop is open 9.30-12 on weekdays before we head out on our deliveries across Wiltshire and Gloucestershire - we offer next day delivery Monday to Friday across Swindon and Gloucestershire as well as weekly runs to the Andover area and the Melksham/Trowbridge/Westbury/Devizes area (see Info section for more details)

This Saturday 6th January I am offering to wash your dog at our salon with a rough towel dry or the option to blast dry too if you wish!

Smooth / Short Haired Coats:

Small: £10 (plus blast drying £13) 30-45mins

Medium: £12 (plus blast drying £15 30-60 mins

Large / X Large: £15 (plus blast drying £18) 30-60 mins

For all long haired coats, please add £5 to the above charges for smooth/short haired coats, plus an extra 15 mins for drying.

All pups will have a professional bathe using lovely smelling shampoo (and conditioner for the long haired coats) plus a spritz of pup cologne/perfume!!!

Please note; if you’re pup is matted, this offer will not include brush through / dematting.

Welcome 2024!

2023 was an amazing year for me and the business really took off!

Thank you once again for all my lovely customers and their gorgeous pups too. I have definitely gained a huge amount of confidence and the support you have shown me throughout has had a lot to do with it.

Wouldn’t be here without you!

My aims for this year are to improve my time on grooms but still maintain the quality to the standard I have achieved to date.

I start back at work on Thursday this week and look forward to catching up with you.

A few of your pups are on this post from December, if they’re not there, I’m really sorry and I’ll do my best to keep up with my posts this year 🫶🏼

Well that's a wrap for The Dog's Barnetts for 2023!

Thank you, thank you, thank you once again for all your support and custom this last 18 months, its been amazing to see my little business grow and primarily from word of mouth or good old Google Maps!!

Cocker Spaniel: Nel visited for her groom. We still have ongoing anxiety with this pup, however, with her hoomans support, we managed to tidy her up the best we could.

Sometimes, it's necessary to just do what is feasible when the pup doesn't want to be groomed.

Schnauzer: Woody is still very much a pupster, so we have trimmed him a little to make him tidier and at the same time, trying to keep his coat as puppylike as possible!

Saluki x: Jackson's second time back and much better today.

Sometimes your pup may be a bit 'off' when normally they're as good as gold. One particular cause is the need to 'relieve' themselves prior to a groom!

It's amazing how many times I have fed back that as soon as they were out of the salon their pup desperately needed a no. 2! Probably too much info for some reading this, however just to make you aware 🙃.

I like to keep it really as a dog groomer as many of you know by now 😬
