Brilliant training sessions today🐕 loved watching the beginners grow in confidence around the kit! The Improvers challenged themselves with distance and spacing and the Continuation (Kelpie club) reintroduced kit and flatwork 🤩
Today we:
🐾 recapped directionals
🐾 increased marker value
🐾 introduced tunnel
🐾 increased hoop value
🐾 did ‘wrong side’ barrel and forwards drive
🐾 increased distance handling
🐾 added the gate to a sequence
🐾 increased space between obstacles
🐾 added value to circle work
🐾 practiced flatwork skills
🌟 & most importantly had fun learning in challenging environments, around other people and dogs 🐕

I can’t believe little Roz is 3 today 🥳 the sun has come out for her which she is most pleased about 🤣 she’s not been the easiest dog and sometimes we feel like we’re living with a threenager but I love looking back and seeing how confident she has become. She’s stepped up to be a brilliant demo dog and we’re excited to do more Hoopers together this year too🐾 💜

We are so lucky.

So fortunate to have had 12 and a half years of Min 💜

Thank you to everyone who messaged and sent their love and support over the weekend, it really meant a lot to us and just showed how loved she was. She truly was one of a kind and has taught us so much, especially about behaviour and how good dogs are at hiding pain.

Without her, I don’t think Blunsdon Canine Hoopers would exist, she was with me every step of the way with my training and I couldn’t have done it without her, especially after losing Arlo, she was a huge support.

A playful spirit, gentle heart, unwavering loyalty and a perfect big sister to the other dogs.

Now go chase Arly sweet girl🌈🐾

🎄🐕 Fun Christmas class yesterday! The weather has been less than merry recently, so I thought we’d end the year in an indoor venue with 4 festive courses. And of course, every dog went home with a present from the Christmas sack! 🎁 Thank you to all the pups and their people🎅✨
