Adolescence is a very difficult period to a lot of handlers.
Believe it or not, it is as challenging to your dogs!
Everything in their lives is changing. Their bodies are flooded with hormones, almost trying to figure out what to do with them.
What does it do to your dog?
They start to feel completely different to what they are used to.
To a puppy up to 5 / 6 month old - the world is party.
From the point when they become a teenager - everything is changing,
The way they feel, the way they see the world, and the way the world responds to them (more on that soon).
There is a lot going on in those brain that are going through puberty.
To us it looks like puppies are being naughty, don't want to listen and ignore what we ask them to do.
It is not that at all.
But it can be very frustrating and certainly challenging.
Managing difficult behaviours and training when you see your puppy is focused will work wonders.
The progress is not instant, or linear, it never is.
But it is there, and you will see it once your puppy becomes an adult dog.
