Most of you are aware we published a series of clinics recently to still enable us to use our beautiful site, whilst the cross country jumping course and ground conditions do not lend themselves to hire.

All of the events were cancelled and was xc hire. Large ground cracks and concrete ground is not safe for jumping. This has been the legacy of a dry spring and summer.

For those of you not following these changes on our page, please be aware this is for your safety and the safety of horses. We hope you will support us next year.

This was a very difficult and dissapointing time for us given the weeks of work put into new fence build, organising event dates and staff, as well as land management.

Thanks to those who booked into the sell out clinics today with Senior Eventing Coach Johanna McDonald. Focusing on young horses getting used to being ridden away from home, inexperienced horses getting used to working amongst others, rider's whose horses are experienced but their own journey is in it's infancy. A really good confidence building morning, helping partnerships find positive outcomes. There is very little out there for horses and riders to get used to being ridden away from home (that provides support, time, and takes each person at their pace). Thanks xx

We will be holding some adult only clinics for you to join with Johanna McDonald - APC & British Horse Society Senior Eventing Coach.

There are two clinic dates: 9th August & 23rd August. Should these prove popular we will consider more dates.

1 -Young/inexperienced horses - to get them out to a new and supportive venue, get some tuition and support in riding in the open, with a handful of others - working in open order, working through napping, going in water, popping small 30cm logs in our xc training field (jumping is not our aim - small 30 logs are optional). Our aim is helping horses to learn, accept working near others, and to have trust in the rider in a new venue - leaving with a positive experience behind them. (£45 per rider - max of 3)

2- Riders who need confidence building when riding on grass in the open. Suitable for the under-confident rider and those who do not take their horses out often or have never taken them out at all. Small 30cm logs are optional, jumping is not our aim, confidence building is; learning to trust your horse - read him better, and ENJOY him without the pressure of competition or fences. £45 per rider (max of 3).

Vaccinations must be up to date to take part, riders must wear current saftey standards skull caps and current saftey standards body protectors.

To book - register with EC-Pro (our online booking stystem) once registered search the EVENTS tab - look for UPCOMING EVENTS and book in.

With so little rain the ground conditions are not suitable to run any further hunter trials this year. We need a season of rain to undo the damage of the dry spring.

But we need to get our horses out away from base!! we still need them to get into new and busy environments - to learn and develop.
