We give high quality FULL attention to each dog, ONE AT A TIME, in our small salons on (either Cricklade High Street , next to Animal Fayre petshop, or The Barn, Stratton, Cirencester). This is delightful little Leo, who we welcomed back to SPRUCE after he had had a visit to a well-known chain and become noticeably more nervous.
We never hold it against customers who try out somewhere else, and are always welcome back.
We are really proud to be able to cope with more challenging dogs in our 2 cage-free salons , and we have ‘quiet slots’ during the week that suit any anxious dogs. We also limit our dogs per day, work 1-2-1 and prioritise their well-being over targets and turnaround times.
Surprisingly, our prices compare very favourably with said chain as well as most other salons in the area, and everything’s included in the price; (No extra ££ for the facial, nail trim, sanitary trim, ear pluck etc. )
We also offer ultrasonic TEETH CLEANING, which we introduced to Leo today, and managed to clear three or four teeth in just one session for £20 treatment. Well done Leo!!

A former student who achieved a ‘distinction’ with city and guilds, kittie did a magnificent job on my own dog Hattie, styling lovely fluffy cylindrical front legs 😍

Well, here we are! 2025. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
There are a couple of changes this year going on at SPRUCE Cricklade and Ciren Stratton. Leaflets / posters are available in both salons for all customers:
1) from March my Cricklade team will be covering Cirencester Stratton with myself. We are all City and Guilds qualified, (the latest recruits with distinctions!) so I see this as sharing the five star standards of Cricklade, with both salons!
2) as a result of this Cricklade will be open Tues - Sat from March, (with some early evening appointments Thurs/ Fri for dogs that need quieter slots) and Stratton will be open Mon - Thurs. This gives great coverage across both salons and more choice.
3) lastly for financial viability our prices must increase from the 1st of March. Since the recent budget we have to introduce wage increases across the board. We can work with customers / budgets so please talk to us. Cricklade prices will increase by about £2 and Stratton prices by about £3 for the average groom.( there is a slight disparity between the two salons at the moment which will be levelled.)

We hope you will support us through these changes and appreciate your ongoing loyalty – this allows a lovely bond to be built with your dogs and us, and makes Grooming all the more bearable for them! Any questions please DM me, and here’s to a wonderful 2025. 🙏🏼
