I work solely from home providing a reliable friendly Dog Walking Service ensuring your dogs safety at all times, giving that special care & attention your dog needs to keep him/her secure. Dogs have given us their absolute all. We are the centre of their universe. We are the focus of their love and faith and trust. They serve us in return for scraps. It is without a doubt the best deal man has ev

er made. I know your dog is more than just a pet and is a member of your family. So I'm pleased to offer Janet's reliable service's at competitive prices. I offer dog walking to match your life style, the demands of your jobs, hobbies and 21st century living. So whether you require regular walks or just a helping hand every once in a while, I am delighted to be here for you and your family member. When it’s not viable to be home for your dog due to work commitments, holidays/weekend breaks etc. you want to know your family member is being taken care of with the same love and affection you give and provide them. That's exactly what you can expect from Janet's Dog Walking Service. The maximum prices you will pay for a daily service are as follows and it’s important that you choose the services and structure to fit your requirements. SERVICES

• 30 min walk £8.00 Can be walked as part of a small group of up to a maximum of 4, or walked as an individual. I keep all dogs on their leads while out walking for a safe controlled environment.
• 1 hour walk £12.00
• Doggy day care from my home £22.00 8am-6pm This will include two, 1 hour walks, feeding if required and between walks your dog will be kept at my family home with a good size garden creating a home from home experience, where they will not miss out on any of the love, care and affection you offer your special family member, allowing you to relax while you are away knowing that your dog is in safe hands. Puppies 3-9 mths of age will not be left unattended for any longer than a period of 2 hours & without safe separation (Not suitable for puppies without their second round of injections)
. Overnight Stay £25.00 This will include one or two, 1 hour walks (as above) and feeding in the evening and morning, dependent upon requirements. The overnight service can be integrated with any of our other services creating a home from home experience again allowing you to relax while you are away knowing that your dog is in safe hands (Overnight stays are subject to availability as numbers are limited.) Very upset to have to say goodbye to little Archie who has been poorly for the past 2 wks sadly he did not recover & yesterday we were informed that he had to be put to sleep we are so upset he was such a lovely boy & we will miss him so much 🥲 R.I.P Archie we will never forget you 😘 Our sincere condolences to Suzi ❤️❤️

After the long winter months, Spring is around the corner & time for our dogs to be out more exploring the garden & woods, but this also increases the risk of your dog coming into contact with a number of springtime dangers, such as lungworm, bites, ticks and certain poisonous spring flowers and bulbs.

Wet spring months usually mean you'll see a fair few slugs and snails around and they all have the potential to carry the dangerous lungworm parasite. When your dog rummages through the undergrowth, drinks from puddles, eats grass, or generally sniffs around outside, they can end up eating or licking slugs, snails or their slime trails, increasing the risk of becoming infected by lungworm.
What are the signs of a lungworm infection? things to look out for:-
Coughing
Breathing problems
Tiredness
Taking a long time for cuts to clot
Changes in behaviour

Ticks:-
Ticks can carry dangerous infectious diseases that can be passed on to both you and your dog.

Always check your dog for ticks after going for walks in the countryside. Thoroughly run your hand over your dog’s body checking for lumps or bumps (don’t forget to check inside their ears).

Ticks should be removed quickly and carefully, but if you’re unsure how to do this then you should always ask your vet for advice.

Never try to burn the ticks off or smother them in lotions or petroleum jelly, as this can increase the risk of being infected by the diseases ticks cause.

If you’re concerned your dog has been infected speak to your vet immediately.

Dogs shouldn't sit higher than you.

You should eat before your dog.

You should walk through doorways first ( safety does maybe come into this one, maybe)

Don't back down to your dog.

Be Pack Leader ( sorry little bit of vomit just came into my mouth when I said that)

HONESTLY, stop waisting your time implementing this stuff.

Instead why not condiser putting more time and effort into..

Learning about how dogs REALLY need support and guidance.

How to open lines of communication between you and your canine.

Being a safety net for your dog

Communication not dictation

Giving them choice

Giving them the opportunity to behave like dogs.

Build them up, don't just shut them up.

I collect & drop off all dogs from your preferred location I see the location, your dog’s safety & security as my key responsibilities. I always remove footwear upon entering any home and all dogs will be dried with a towel when muddy or wet on return.
