I had spent an hour in the bank with my dad, as he had to transfer some money. I couldn't resist myself & asked...
''Dad, why don't we activate your internet banking?''
''Why would I do that?'' He asked...
''Well, then you wont have to spend an hour here for things like transfer.
You can even do your shopping online. Everything will be so easy!''
I was so excited about initiating him into the world of Net banking.
He asked ''If I do that, I wont have to step out of the house?
''Yes, yes''! I said. I told him how even grocery can be delivered at door now and how amazon delivers everything!
His answer left me tongue-tied.
He said ''Since I entered this bank today, I have met four of my friends, I have chatted a while with the staff who know me very well by now.
You know I am alone...this is the company that I need. I like to get ready and come to the bank. I have enough time, it is the physical touch that I crave.
Two years back I got sick, The store owner from whom I buy fruits, came to see me and sat by my bedside and cried.
When your Mom fell down few days back while on her morning walk. Our local grocer saw her and immediately got his car to rush her home as he knows where I live.
Would I have that 'human' touch if everything became online?
Why would I want everything delivered to me and force me to interact with just my computer?
I like to know the person that I'm dealing with and not just the 'seller'. It creates bonds of Relationships.
Does Amazon deliver all this as well?'''

Just six of the reasons not to feed peanut butter as a treat to your dog

⚠️ Ditch the peanut butter!

Peanut butter may be a popular treat but it's not safe. Here are some of the toxic problems lurking in peanut butter ...

AFLATOXIN … It’s the most carcinogenic (cancer-causing) naturally-occurring substance known to man … and dog. They’re toxic to the liver and have caused liver cancer in laboratory animals. The highest levels are found in freshly-ground rather than processed peanut butter.

HARMFUL FATS … Hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils create trans fats … and they’ve been linked to chronic inflammation.

SUGAR … It leads to yeast, and feeds bacteria, parasites and cancer … and leads to eating more which is the stepping stone to weight gain and diabetes … for you and your dog.

XYLITOL… This artificial sweetener is used in some peanut butters to cut calories… but it’s deadly to dogs.

UNBALANCED FATS … Peanut butter is high in inflammatory omega-6 fats… as much as 178 times more than omega-3s … and inflammation can lead to allergies and joint disease.

GLYPHOSATE … It’s been identified by the World Health Organization as a probable carcinogen. It’s sprayed on peanut crops before harvest and absorbed into the crop … so you can’t wash it off.

LECTINS … These anti-nutrients block absorption of vitamins, minerals and important proteins, and interfere with digestive enzymes … and rob your dog of nutrition.

After 15 years my trusty old Kangoo ambulance has finally given in due to a faulty auxiliary belt fitted 4 weeks ago which then chewed up the cam belt.

I have purchased a new van that should be back in service by next week after refitting cages etc.

Sorry for not being able to offer any transport this week but normal service will be resumed asap.

A few tips on the hidden dangers of Christmas that not everyone is aware of.

Keeping your pets safe at Christmas can be a bit of a nightmare. You simply can’t tell a cat to clamp down on their natural instincts to climb a Christmas tree, or a dog to stop sniffing out the edible goodies around the house.
