Why’s it important❓

Long nails can be uncomfortable for your dog to walk on. Leaving your dogs nails to grow extremely long can result in them growing into the pad and causing infection. The hair around your dog’s paws and in between their toes is prone to collecting dirt and debris while your dog runs around. This can result in matting between the pawpads leading to discomfort and bacterial infection.

What you can do 💭

Desensitise your dog to having there feet touched from a young age. The sooner the better. Check your dogs paws routinely remembering to check inside the toes and monitoring nail growth.
