We had a beautiful Autumnal morning at Thorp Arch last weekend... perfect for introducing 2 more fantastic dog teams to Mantrailing! 🍁🍂

Polly started off quite cautious & reserved, but with a bit of gentle encouragement her confidence grew with each trail she did 🩷

Brian also had a bit of a cautious start. He can be worried around new people & in new places. That was all soon forgotten when he realised he was there to do one of his favourite activities for one of his favourite things. Sniffing for a peanut butter reward... is there a better way to start the weekend!?! 💙

We also had fellow instructor Fiona join us with her nervous field spaniel who is new to the sport 🤎

It was lovely to see all three Dogs grow in confidence & enjoy themselves 😍🐾
Well done teams... you all aced it!! 🩵

Thorp Arch is a fabulous venue for our Mantrailing sessions... one of my favourites! 😍
It offers great variety in the trails we do... working around buildings, open spaces, roadsides, woodland, hard surfaces, grassed areas... you name it, it's here!
There can be distractions a plenty... vehicles, people, activity in/around buildings, wildlife... but we can also work in quiet areas where distractions can be kept to a minimum.
It's great for our reactive friends too... the occasional dog walker but very easy to avoid 🐾

The weekend's fast approaching & that means one thing... it's nearly time to Mantrail! 😍

These sessions are at one of my favourite venues, Thorp Arch.
Why do I love it there? 🤔
Simply because it offers so much variety for trails in an easy to get to location. It's generally fairly quiet, but there can be some novel distractions!
Most of all it's suitable for teams of all levels & is great for dogs who are easily overwhelmed by their environment, even our reactive/nervous friends 🐾

Suspected dog poisonings in Lindley – can you help? ⬇️

We are appealing for information after two dogs sadly died after eating something that is believed to be toxic on a walk at Lindley Wood Reservoir between 31 March and 15 April.

We were made aware of what happened at around 4pm on Tuesday 16 April 2024.

We’re carrying out enquiries to find out more about what happened.

If you have any information that can help us with our investigation, please get in touch.

We would also like to hear from any other dog owners who believe their dog may have been affected in similar circumstances after visiting the location in recent weeks.

Last weekend we were back Mantrailing in Tadcaster. We introduced newbie Bruce, an 8 month old GSD to the game & also welcomed back seasoned sniffers Sam & Poppy.

All teams worked really hard & were successful in their missions to find their hiding people... & pots of food! 😍😋🐾

Bruce took to the game quickly & it was to see his confidence grow with each trail ⭐️

Looking forward to seeing all teams out again soon! 🩵🐾

We've just spent an amazing few days in one of our favourite places... Scotland, doing one of our favourite things... Mantrailing! 😍

Learning from the best, surrounded by the best group of people, in the best place with The Very Best Dog! 🐾

To say I'm proud of The Munchkin is an understatement... he's been so awesome all week 🌟
& now he's very, very tired!! 🩵🩵
As am I, & my brain hurts! 🤣🤯

Huge thanks to Kathryn Trailing K9s & Kevin Borders Mantrailing & Scent Training along with all other attendees & their fabulous dogs for a super few days 🐾🩵
