Bank holiday fun! Can you guess what we're doing? In other news Eddie has now explored the whole house and hung out with Olive - she did some hissing when he got too close and lots of staring, but overall a great success! She tried to eat Milo when I got him so I was expecting far worse 🥰😻

In today's Eddie Episode ... like his big brother and sister Eddie liked going in the bath and staring at the plug hole. He's been hanging out with Milo who seems to have accepted him - for the most part. Eddie is still learning what no means as he's only ever had his brother, who wanted to play all the time too. Milo was showing him how it's done and was much more relaxed with him close by, there were even some nose kisses 😻

Today Eddie really settled down and he now runs up to us for cuddles, purring and vibrating the room. He's now confident on the bed and stole Milo's bed bowl 😬 but he likes his own one too.

Olive managed a whole day with no hissing or grumbling, Milo also managed to not spit at a baby - so proud 😹 Big progress from those two, they mostly just try to avoid him or stare. Still in separate rooms having treats at the door for now.

Eddie's getting used to being held and having his paws played with. A lot of cats don't like their paws and bellies touched, so if you can do it from an early age it will really help if they need medical treatment 🐾

We are now parents to three 😻 we adopted this beautiful 4 months kitten, Eddie, from Hounslow Rescue today 🥹🥹 he's very, very playful and has been a little timid after we got home, but now he's had a play he's cuddling up 🧡 he's currently hanging out in our spare bedroom so he has his own space and when everyone's ready he will meet Olive and Milo 😸

😺 HOT WEATHER ADVICE 😺

With temperature set to soar again, please make sure your animals are safe. Here are some top tips to help them!

- cats can only sweat through their paws, so can struggle to stay cool in this weather. If you're feeling toasty they are too - they are wearing their fur coats! I tend to keep mine in once it hits around 27/28 during the peak of the day, unless they are staying in the shade

- cats can get burnt too, particularly their ears and light coloured cats. You can get cat sunscreen but there is the risk of allergies/bad reactions, so I would personally say keep them indoors in peak heat and high UV

- make sure to provide extra water bowls and change them frequently so cool water is readily available, including in the garden. Cats are notoriously bad at drinking water. Another way to help is wet food (which they should all be having if they're able anyway for this reason, amongst others). Putting a water bottle in the fridge can make sure it's cold

- if you have any concerns bring them inside, they're probably too hot to play anyway!

- cool mats exist for pets 😺 not all cats will use them and I had to plop mine on it and gently press them on it so they realised what it does 😹 they're pressure activated, the same as heat mats

- keep them away from pavements if possible, if the ground is too hot for your feet it is probably too hot for kitty paws

- signs of overheating:
- panting
- drooling, salivating
- agitation, restlessness (cats may pace)
- bright red tongu.
- very red or pale gums
- increased heart rate
- breathing distress
- vomiting, diarrhoea (possibly with blood)

If the show signs of overheating that them somewhere cool immediately, apply tepid/cool water to their skin and fur, pop on a fan if you can, try and get them to drink some cold water, pop them on a cool mat or wet the area around where they are sat if you can, DON'T USE ICE, take them to the vet for a check over! Heatstroke can be deadly!

Very sad to be saying goodbye for now to Slipper and Twiglet today! Slipper has been out roaming for a lot of my visits but I did manage to catch him inside for some fuss a couple of times. Twiglet spent the whole time shouting for cuddles and a comb 😻

We are delighted it is now going to be compulsory to microchip cats. Please make sure you go to a reputable vet and update your microchip regularly. The deadline is June 10th and there are lots of charities to help if you can't afford it 😺

Hello! Long time no see! 😺

I'm still here and as busy as ever looking after so many beautiful kitties. In fact I'm so busy that I have a new addition to the cat sitting posse - my partner Joe has been asking to take on visits for ages and now has the opportunity to 😻

Joe is also cat mad, obviously, and can't wait to take on visits. I'm already fully booked up for quite a few summer dates, and we are away for a week for my Big Birthday, but Joe is booking in visits around Bramley/SOL/Sherborne and surrounds, and would love to meet your cats. He has of course been trained to my exceptional standards in cuddles and playtime 😺

Aaaand we're back! (on social media) 😹 A lot has happened in the last 6 months but I hadn't realised it had been quite this long since I updated everyone on Facebook! Social media has never been my forte but I will attempt to post more... I'm sure you have all been missing cute cat pics.

🏡 The furry & fishy family and I bought a house and moved back to Bramley in July and have been settling in well - the catlets have finally been in to explore the *slightly* more unpacked garage, much to their great pleasure, and have been outside in the garden making new friends on their leads.

We had a really busy summer visiting so many cat families and have been taking the last month or so to recover slightly from all the madness of the past year. I've just opened my diary for next year so please do get in touch if you have any trips planned... post move I currently do not! 😹

I also have a shiny new website live, courtesy of the incredibly talented Ems Rae Searle - Ethical Marketing Strategist which I will be aiming to keep updated and add info to next year. If you are a new cat family to me please do use the information form to register with me for future visits.

🐱🐱 I'm finally back in action after being struck down with a throat infection last week. My sincere apologies to the kitties I was unable to visit! I do recommend having a spare key with someone locally and a back up just in case of emergencies or unforeseen circumstances but will make sure to remind everyone when booking in. Thankfully it's the first time it's happened.

I'm fully booked for July and August now I'm afraid but am taking bookings for September onwards. Christmas bookings are open to my current kitty families but I likely won't be able to take on any new families as it'll be so busy. Visit numbers will be limited on some days and overnight stays won't be available as I do need some time with my babies 🐱🐱

😸😸 I have exciting news! My house purchase in Bramley is going through shortly ☺️ I can't wait to be back living there. Unfortunately I will no longer be able to take on any sitting in Farnham and surrounds for the foreseeable future.

I am awaiting my exact move date so bookings are currently closed for July & August so I can take some time to move and settle my two. Milo couldn't care less where he is as long as he gets food and attention but Olive gets really stressed with change, so I want to have as much time as possible for them.

My last few spaces for June (Bramley & surrounds) are:
Wednesday 14th morning
Monday 19th morning & evening
Tuesday 20th morning & evening

all other days are fully booked. Thank you so much!

Bookings are open for September & October and I will release any July & August dates as soon as I can. Thank you for bearing with me the last few months whilst everything has been getting sorted!
