We needed 400 signatures to allow us 5 minutes to talk at the next council meeting.

🚨 We would love your support.

Most of you know I’m a dog walker by day.

I have been a dog walker for 12 years now.

📰Myself and other fellow dog walkers of the local area are in a sticky situation.
AND there’s an article in today’s THE TIMES newspaper regarding this.

Reigate and Banstead council have changed the dog walking limit in the area from being able to walk 6 down to only 4 at a time.

😯We have been happily abiding by the rules and walking 6 dogs for years in this area.
All of a sudden for us to be told the rules have changed.
This has hit our individual business’ dramatically by A THIRD.

✍️The Times article mentions a PETITION we have put together where we are asking for the limit to be put back up to walking 6 as it has been for years.

😁We would be happy to be licensed/permit to walk 6 dogs as it will benefit us all.

🐕‍🦺❤️As professional dog walkers, we look after dogs lovingly with health and safety being our top priority.
Not to mention the obvious part of dog walking ;
picking up p**p,
respecting nature
and of course being respectful to the public.
Something we all have is public liability too, so we are also caring and responsible.

For me, I have a variety of clients who require my service.
Teachers, office workers, people working from home, the disabled, just to name a few.

❌Forcing us to minimise each walk means we have no choice but to say NO to some of our regular clients.
This is something we really do not want to do.
We do not want to let our clients down.

💜Our clients trust us, have formed a bond with us, can relax and know everything is ok whilst the special furry member of their family is in our care.

🐶Not to mention the dogs themselves.
They too enjoy the walks, get great exercise, have fun with someone they also trust along their own friends.
~ It may sound silly but I think that point is actually very important too!

❌❓When we are forced to say no, stop being flexible and cut back WHAT WILL HAPPEN THEN?
What will the family’s do?
What will happen to the dogs?

🙏🏻🙏🏻Please support us in encouraging the change to go back to walking 6 dogs at a time for professional and responsible dog walkers.

I really enjoyed the first aid course yesterday. Working with dogs is not simply being an owner of a pooch - first aid is very beneficial to know. Could save your dog and sometimes you too! 🐶
