International Hapkido Tamworth’s Story

TAMWORTH HAPKIDO·
TRY SOMETHING NEW FOR YOU
Become a member of International Hapkido Tamworth. I teach and train in Hapkido, a dynamic Korean martial art and self-defence system that uses joint locking techniques, kicks, punches, chops, open handed strikes

and other striking forms for defence. At higher levels traditional weapons are used, such as sword, knife, rope, cane, short stick (Dan-bong), and staff (gun, bō) as well as modern day items of improvised weaponry, keys, mobile phones, pens or pencils bags anything to hand etc. Hapkido contains both long and close range fighting techniques, utilising kicks and percussive hand strikes at longer ranges and some pressure point strikes, joint locks, or throws at closer fighting distances. Hapkido emphasises circular motion, non-resisting movements, and control of the opponent. Practitioners seek to gain advantage through footwork and body positioning to incorporate the use of leverage, reducing a need for the use of strength against strength. It is NOT a sport it is a most effective and powerful Martial art and Self Defence. MAKE UP FOR LOST TIME AFTER COVID WHY NOT LEARN, CHANGE... BECOME SAFER, MORE CONFIDENT, AWARE, SKILLED & ENLIGHTENED........... It’s about time you started to co-ordinate your Spirit/Energy/ Power, Life too. If you would feel you need or would like to train in Hapkido simply reply here on this page, I will try to reply to all of your questions. Yours sincerely
D. Yates 3rd Dan Hapkido Instructor
