Stunning Class 1 Connemara gelding

Well-bred 10yo Class 1 148 Connemara Gelding
Starbuck has full recorded breeding, his sire is Gwenic de Goarvia who has produced top class HOYS working hunter ponies.

Starbuck is an amazing pony who always wants to please, He loves jumping and is careful over a jump bringing lots of scope.
He Loves cross country, proving brave jumping in and out of water, steps, not spooky at all.
He hacks alone and in company and is always snaffled mouthed.
Moves very well on the flat, straight moving with a lovely canter

He is a very versatile pony and would suit a competent rider, he is switched on, not silly just knows his job therefor would not be suitable for a novice rider. he would be brilliant for someone wanting to move up the levels in any discipline.

He is a great pony with a kind nature, easy to shoe, box, catch, great in traffic. buck has been in the same home for 6 years, very sad sale but rider moved onto horses.

The Highway Code has changed from today (29.01.22)

When driving, you should now pass horse riders and horse-drawn vehicles at speeds under 10 mph and allow at least 2 metres of space. Check the changes, let’s keep each other safe.

It’s been a long time since I’ve bathed and plaited up for an opening meet 🥰 in fact a long time since I’ve plaited at all so it was a long but fun afternoon yesterday getting her grey again instead of the brown tinge she had 🤣🙈 she looks pretty relaxed for her first experience hunting out of Ireland

12.2 section a mare, previously broodmare started education this year and never put a foot wrong I’ve leaned over her, daughter rides her on the lead rein, needs to do more but is an absolute gem, stand by the heaviest of traffic, groom all day, good for farrier, will pop a little fence, daughter will lead her in and out the field, she’s very happy living out but is happy to be stabled too.
I’ll carry on with her until 🏡 found but my daughters just not interested enough and she’s way too special not to be a little persons best buddy.
She was shown as a yearling/ 2 year old so she would excel as a lead rein showing type or older child’s jumping pony.

Can provide videos but only to serious enquiries, work is too busy for time wasters so please only enquire if you’ve read full post and prepared to accept she isn’t 100% ready made pony but equally not put a foot wrong or phased by anything.

The very beautiful Rupert had his Irish clip yesterday ready to attend kelsall hunter trials next week.
Rupert is owned by a friend of mine that I have known for 28 years!!
The best thing about this post is I’ve known Katie the same amount of years that Rupert has been alive!
Rupert is pure thoroughbred 28 years old and still competing 🥰 it just goes to show the amount of dedication, love and care Katie gives this boy and he looks fantastic for his age too 🦄❤️ #28

This is a plea to anyone wanting or booking in for clipping 🙏🏼 long post alert sorry!

Please can you ensure your horses are dry and as clean as possible prior to my arrival for clipping.
This means regular deep grooms correctly using dandy brushes, body brushes, and metal curry combs to clean the brushes as you groom and also hot clothing.
If possible a bath ensuring you are getting the shampoo deep into the coat and skin (the frothier the bubbles are the cleaner the horse is) even if it is a few days before I’m coming to clip

This gives you the best looking clip as an end result, and saves my clippers and my blades also.

I am unfortunately going to have to start being strict about this and will be charging extra if your horse is not clean enough to clip. This charge will vary from £10 up to £30 or if too dirty to clip at all you may find you only have half a clipped horse I’m afraid and still be charged. please don’t take offence if I tell you that there’s a dirty horse charge because my blades should be able to do 3 full clips at ease.

if I’m getting through 2 sets of blades on one clip this means I’m having to purchase extra sets at nearly £60 a go to ensure I can attend other customers while the others are being sharpened so I don’t let them down, not only that it soon becomes a traumatic experience for your horse (if you remember your mum brushing your hair growing up pulling on the tangles, that’s what it’s like for your horse when the blades can’t glide through the coat nicely 😔)

Here’s a break down of my costs just to be able to clip…
My clippers £350
My blades £60 set
Blade sharpening £8 a set
Clipper service (which will need to be done more regularly) £40-£60
Repairs if the motor’s constantly under strain- £140 same price for a new circuit board (plus the service cost)
My travel time to you and to drop blades off for sharpening again
Delays to other customers or lost customers

If you want advice or help on how to correctly groom or hot cloth I’m more than happy to offer the advice as it’s also highly beneficial to your horse or pony as well as me, increasing blood flow through the body and muscle development ❤️

I don’t want to rant or anyone to take it personally, this is a general advice post from all of us who clip 😩 I just want to be able to deliver the best possible service to all my customers so please help me to help you and your lovely equines 🦄

After a long day sitting in hospital I’m afraid to say i have a few fractured ribs after a totally innocent accident riding today.
I desperately hoped my gut feeling was wrong and I’d be kicked out with pulled muscles 🤣 as us horsey people do!!
because of this any bookings will be delayed for a couple of weeks to let them heal soon as I’m back I shall let you know 🥰🦄

⭐️Unfortunately I have made the decision to no longer offer house sitting as a service. ⭐️

Anyone who is already booked in please don’t panic I will still be able to cover for your holidays that are already booked.

But due to my daughter needing to come with me, my own pets and Hâf starting school this year it’s not realistic for me to be away from home as much as I have been ❤️ I hope you can all understand and I will do my best to recommend alternative people that could possibly house sit for you 🥰
