🧀 Our treat of the week! 🧀
Our 4 have been absolutely loving these yak puffs this week. They are light, crunchy, and apparently taste great!
Mine have varying levels of love for whole yak chews, and I find I’m very cautious about supervising them when it starts to get smaller (thanks to my own choking incident!) So, by using the puffed bars or bites, they get a lovely crunchy snack which they all enjoy equally and I can relax 😂
Why is yak cheese good?
* It is super low in lactose, making it easy to digest and low in sugar.
* A rich source of protein, which is key for fuelling energy, building and maintaining muscle mass, and encouraging overall health.
* High in calcium and vitamin D, providing essential nutrients for strong bones
* Rich in essential amino acids such as omega-3 fatty acids to support heart and skin health
* Full of bioactive compounds with antioxidant properties
Why are yak chews safer than some other products like *cough* rawhide
Unlike rawhide, which is known to cause intestinal blockages and is full of horrible toxic ingredients, yak cheese products are all natural and far more digestible! When your dog gnaws on yak cheese chews, your dog’s saliva softens it, making them much safer!
Yak cheese is also lactose free, grain free, gluten free, chemical free, preservative free, AND smell free! 🎉
