π· The 10th of July every year marks βDonβt Step on a Bee Dayβ highlighting the plight of bees (and other pollinators) in the UK and around the world. π
In the past 5 years the bee population has decreased by a third. In the UK alone, 35 bee species are currently under threat of extinction and all bee species are facing serious threats to their survival.
Here are five 5 Bee care tips:
π Donβt step on a bee (of course!)
π Support your local beekeeper.
π Plant our Wild Flower Seedballs!
π Give the lawnmower a rest during Spring and Summer months, allowing wild plants to grow up and flower attracting pollinating insects and other wildlife.

π· IMPORTANT! Please refrain from cutting hedges during nesting season!
It's nesting season and our garden birds are working hard. All wild birds, their nests and eggs are protected by law. Itβs important not to disturb them, so remember to leave the hedge-trimming until later in the year.
It is an offence under the Wildlife and Countryside Act of 1981 to intentionally take, damage or destroy the nest of any wild bird while it is in use or being built, or to intentionally kill, injure or take chicks or adults, or intentionally take or destroy any eggs.
