Canicross season is upon us!

Join a running club with a difference - weekly runs with other canicrossers.
We meet in various places on alternating Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings.
Distances ranging from 5k to 10k at the moment. With the potential to run further if club members want to.
We are also going to start venturing further afield every couple of months with an adventure day out.
Suitable for all ages of people and dogs over a year old. You don't need to be fast to join - we have a range of speeds in the club so don't be worried you won't be fast enough. We're just a friendly bunch of people who want to have fun with their dog's!

We had a great day yesterday at Cotswold Wildlife Park. Meg loved all the new sniffs and thought the big animals were alright, too!

What a great place for some socialisation training. There were other people and dogs around, kids, big animals! And best of all everyone was so interested in the big animals nobody cared about one another's dogs. Which meant on lead greetings were minimal, and not many people wanted to say hi to dogs too! Plus, loads of space around to give Meg a break.

Socialisation isn't about saying hi to everything it's about learning how to be chill around people, dogs, and other distractions. And I think this is what people forget and hence why their dog struggles as they get older...

Yesterday we had a sunny 8km canicross club run along the canal, with tea and cake at Maunsel Lock Tea Rooms afterwards.

Thank you so much for all who came and for my lovely gifts and joining in the celebrations.

They were so kind that they made me wear dog ears, collar and tail too as well as a birthday sash 🤣 Thanks guys!

What a super bunch of people and dogs and what a great community we are building.

Special thanks to Orsa and Moose for being my running companions yesterday 😁

Wow!!! 13 for Barkrun this morning - our biggest one yet 🥳 (just missing 2 off the photo).
It was a misty start to the day but that didn't put us Bark runners off!

Well done to all who attended and hope you enjoyed cake afterwards!

I then had lots of fun pacing 27mins at Parkrun followed by my wonderful Saturday dog training club having Halloween fun in class and then graduation for Saturday's Puppy School group.

What a way to celebrate turning 30 🥰 Meg and I are off for a lovely (albeit slow for Meg) run up in the hills this afternoon!

A space has come up in my Wednesday 6:30pm hoopers group at Conquest centre. Suitable for beginners or dogs with some experience as is a mixed ability group.
Class dates for the next 6 week block are 6th, 20th, 27th Nov, 4th, 11th, 18th Dec.

Halloween themed fun in dog club classes yesterday! We taught some tricks with a pumpkin, the dogs enjoyed some sausage bobbing and then we played trick or treat too.

We've also been having some Halloween fun in hoopers classes this week with Halloween themed courses and a little bit of trick or treat too!

Big well done to Ruby and her team for passing their Bronze Good Hoopers Award.
So lovely to have seen her confidence grow and now loving hoopers!

Hoopers is great for anxious dogs to help build their confidence aswell as strengthening the relationship between you and your dog 🥰
