Thought I'd share my purchases from the show yesterday and shout out the smashing small businesses they're from!

1) Hammocks and a gazillion ropes from Han-made Hammocks. My favourite is definitely the peekaboo-plus (top left) which is a hammock and rope combination (absolutely genius!)

2) Vests and t-shirts from ratsratsrats.com - adore my new Christmas t-shirt! I'm wearing another one I bought today and the quality is fab! Who doesn't love fun rat print clothing?? They had some really great hoodies too, but I had to control my spending 😂

3) A top up of WUB, leucillin, our favourite chews and treats (new favourite animal cookies not pictured!), food mix ingredients, some Halloween hammocks and a very fetching leopard print hammock from The Rat Warehouse

Everything in the photos is top quality and my boys and I can't recommend them enough! Excuse my terrible photography, it's not my strong point.

I took Timothy, Dab, and Atlas along to the Clevedon show today and they did really well! Obviously, I'm most proud of Timothy's second place AOB and his incredibly meaningful Special Award ❤️ And yes, of course Atlas piled all the shavings up and slept on bare plastic to try to guilt trip me. Kind of worked.

The show today was really fun and I spent far too much money on the stalls (it's supporting awesome small businesses, okay? That can ALWAYS be justified!!!), but the atmosphere and people there were brilliant. I'd really recommend popping by to this show in particular, I'll try and give more notice next year 🙈

Throwback to when I had girls! This is one of my first rats, Ivy. And she was a blimmin' legend! Cheers to Friday, everyone!

Myself and a couple of the lads will be at Clevedon show tomorrow, it's too late to enter but you can still come along and have a look, a chat, and buy a gazillion treats from The Rat Warehouse and hammocks and ropes from Han-made Hammocks (all highly rated and approved by my lads!)

The show is open from 1100, and the address is St. Andrews Church Centre, Old Church Rd, Clevedon, BS21 7UE

Nothing like sitting on your mum's shopping list and the very comfy fly swatter to enjoy your chew, ey Marley?

I've got a couple of weeks without guests, which means my boys and I can hang out on the sofa together again! I don't do this when I have guests, because I don't want anyone getting jealous. Of course they still get their playtime, but they don't get the spoiled boy extras that they do when we don't have guests 😂

These girls are absolute speed demons 🏎️ They're so brave, confident, playful, and friendly! 9 times out of 10, groups are a bit hesitant the first time they're released into the wide open new place that is my hall...not this lot. Nope. So much so, I didn't get any photos which were worthy of sending to their humans during their first playtime 😂 Levelled up to videos during their next play session. Nailed it.

My boy Tornado was why I bought this hammock, because I always called him my little pickle. But I think Miss Goose wears it well too, and Tornado always loved to share ❤️ I'm sad that these gorgeous girlies are leaving tomorrow, but I've absolutely adored having these little balls of energy here!

Tonight I left the airer out during playtime thinking ah, they're teeny, they won't bother with it. How wrong I was. Also goes to show I've got far too used to boys who are about three times their size and definitely not as nimble 🤣 Well done, Goose. I'll be your wingwoman any day.

I know a big thing when you go away is if your little ones need meds, and that's something I'm totally confident with. But a big part of that is you getting them comfortable to take meds in the first place. Mixing meds into malt paste or baby food is an easy option for us humans, and the little ones see meds o'clock as a treat...just like little Belle here, who is a meds-taking superstar, because her humans taught her to be! ❤️

99.9% sure that Belle, Goose, and Tara here are well aware that there is a roast in the oven. Either that, or they're plotting something 🤔

Don't worry, these little cutie pies will be getting a little roast of their own, as do all guests (and my boys) on a Sunday if I'm making one!

The face of a cat who, after about three years of me occasionally dropping in with him, his mum, and his brother....HAS FINALLY REVEALED HIMSELF TO ME THREE TIMES IN A ROW NOW!

This lad has always been "The elusive Ginge". To the point where, if I wasn't good friends with his humans and have been round for a drink with them when he did make an appearance, I wouldn't actually believe that he existed. I genuinely told his human to check he was feeling okay the first time I saw him waiting 🤣

We're talking me going round the house with chicken, calling his name. We're talking searching high and low. We're talking getting his humans on loudspeaker calling his name. We're talking extreme measures of trying to find this boy, to no avail. And all of a sudden, lad's just decided to wait out for his food. I nearly keeled over, never mind handing his food over 🤦🏻‍♀️ The boy got brave!!

Animals will, 9 times out of 10, initially act a bit out of character when they're in different environments or if it's a different routine. It is what it is. It can be a test of patience for sure, but it's SO rewarding when an animal finally trusts you ❤️
