Please never put off going on holiday because you're worried about leaving your pets.
Being worried, or anxious, or even a bit scared (sod it, you're allowed to be terrified) about leaving your pets with someone else is DEFINITELY VERY NORMAL. I know this, because I get very, very anxious myself! I don't have human children, so my boys are my absolute world, my constant; they're there when I'm happy, sad, celebrating, need a snuggle, you name it!
But it's also important to take time for you, to take time for your family, and have a soul-charging change of scenery.
A great pet sitter or boarding place will give you lots of updates, send you photos and videos, and keep in touch with you throughout their stay (unless you don't want them to because it's a bit hard to be away from them. We understand that too!). And they really won't mind in the slightest if you message and ask for some photos. So never feel bad about asking questions or asking for updates on how your pets are doing!
Yeah, that's baby Arthur for attention. Sometimes I know what I'm doing with the cuteness photo algorithms.
