BEWARE!!! ROCK SALT
With the expected cold blast due for most of us, rock salt will be added to grit and used on many roads and paths. Rock salt is toxic for dogs!
Check and wipe off paws after every walk as rock salt can cause burns to paws, mouth and throat.
If a dog eats rock salt, it can lead to a high blood sodium concentration, which can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, lethargy, thirst, and in severe cases, kidney damage and convulsions.
Always consult your vet if you are worried about any aspect of your dog's health.
